| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sooner | 7-0-0 | Absol, Indeedee, Sneasler, Milotic, Garchomp, Volcarona |
| 2 | ProfSkarmoryYT | 6-1-0 | Tyranitar, Gholdengo, Milotic, Excadrill, Sinistcha, Staraptor |
| 3 | 2Ciabatta5 | 4-2-0 | Hisuian Arcanine, Basculegion, Kingambit, Sneasler, Raichu, Altaria |
| 4 | AndresitoKun | 4-2-0 | Garchomp, Sneasler, Indeedee, Charizard, Metagross, Milotic |
Sooner’s winning team was built around layered speed and positioning tools. Indeedee brought Choice Scarf, Psychic Surge, and Expanding Force, giving the team immediate Psychic Terrain pressure while also carrying Trick and Mystical Fire. That paired directly with Sneasler, which used Psychic Seed and Unburden with Protect, Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Throat Chop. The combination gave Sooner a clear fast-mode option without needing to spend a turn setting Tailwind.
Volcarona supplied the more conventional support layer with Passho Berry, Flame Body, Struggle Bug, Tailwind, Rage Powder, and Overheat. Rage Powder helped create space for the team’s attackers, while Tailwind gave another route to speed control when Psychic Seed Sneasler was not the main line. Milotic added a bulky special attacker with Leftovers, Competitive, Ice Beam, Protect, Muddy Water, and Scald, giving the team staying power and a way to punish Intimidate-style play.
The two Z-stone attackers gave the roster its distinct shape. Absol held Absolite Z with Justified and an Adamant nature, running Night Slash, Detect, Close Combat, and Shadow Claw. Garchomp held Garchompite Z but used a Modest special set with Earth Power, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, and Protect. Between Absol, Garchomp, Sneasler, and terrain-boosted Indeedee pressure, Sooner had multiple ways to force damage while Volcarona and Milotic stabilized board states.
Across the top teams, Sneasler was one of the clearest standouts, appearing on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams. Psychic Seed Sneasler specifically showed up on both Sooner’s and AndresitoKun’s teams, while other versions used White Herb or Focus Sash. Milotic was also common near the top, appearing on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th place teams, always with Competitive and Ice Beam.
Garchomp appeared on the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 8th place teams, with both Choice Scarf and Garchompite Z represented. Focus Sash remained a common item choice across the standings, including Excadrill, Hisuian Arcanine, Indeedee, Sneasler, Venusaur, and Vivillon among the listed teams. Tailwind was spread across several different setters, including Volcarona, Staraptor, Altaria, Vivillon, and Pelipper.
Takeaway for ladder players: Psychic Terrain plus Unburden Sneasler, backed by redirection and a secondary speed mode, remains a clean and flexible Regulation Set M-C structure.
