NAIC Stream Will Offer a Blastoise Gift for Pokémon Champions

Pokémon’s North America International Championships broadcast will include a distribution tied to Pokémon Champions, with Blastoise named as one of the available gifts. For Champions players, that makes the NAIC stream worth tracking even if you are not following every match live.

The announcement does not frame this as a balance update or format reveal, so the competitive impact depends on the details Pokémon shares during the event. Key things to watch for are the gift’s level, moves, ability, held item, and whether it comes with any fixed training values under Champions’ Stat Points system. If the Blastoise is eligible for standard doubles play, those details will determine whether it is just a collection bonus or something worth testing on early teams.

Because Pokémon Champions does not use Terastallization, Dynamax, or Z-Moves, Blastoise’s value will likely come down to its raw role compression: bulk, support options, and whether Mega Evolution access is relevant for this specific gift. We will know more once the distribution instructions and full Pokémon details are shown during NAIC coverage.
