Wesley’s winning team combined a clear rain structure with Perish Song pressure and strong defensive glue. Pelipper brought Drizzle, Focus Sash, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team both weather and speed control. That supported Archaludon, whose Leftovers, Stamina, and Electro Shot fit naturally beside rain, while also carrying Flash Cannon, Dragon Pulse, and Protect for consistent attacking options.

Swampert was another major part of the weather package, using Swampertite with Wave Crash, Earthquake, Ice Punch, and Protect. Alongside Pelipper and Archaludon, it gave the team a direct offensive mode that could pressure common board states without relying only on setup.

The other half of the team leaned into control. Gengar held Gengarite with Cursed Body and ran Shadow Ball, Disable, Perish Song, and Protect. That set pairs well with Incineroar’s Fake Out, Throat Chop, Parting Shot, and Protect, giving Wesley multiple ways to slow opposing turns and reposition. Sinistcha added Hospitality, Colbur Berry, Matcha Gotcha, Protect, Life Dew, and Rage Powder, making it a central support piece for keeping key attackers on the field and redirecting pressure when needed.

Across the top four, Incineroar was the defining repeated Pokemon, appearing on every team. Three of those Incineroar used Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, and Impish, while the fourth used Passho Berry with the same Intimidate and Impish combination. Fake Out and Parting Shot were also constant features, reinforcing how valuable positioning remained in this event.

There was also a noticeable overlap between first and fourth place.
