Vuultur’s winning team was built around heavy Fake Out pressure and multiple physical win conditions. Rillaboom, Sneasler, and Incineroar all carried Fake Out, giving the team repeated ways to buy turns for positioning, Swords Dance, Calm Mind, or safe attacks. Rillaboom used Miracle Seed with Grassy Surge and the standard pressure package of Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, Fake Out, and High Horsepower, providing both priority damage and terrain support.
The standout structural feature was how many threats could become the main attacker depending on matchup. Kingambit with Life Orb and Defiant brought Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, punishing stat drops while threatening priority endgames. Garchomp held Garchompite with Rough Skin and used Dragon Claw, Stomping Tantrum, Rock Slide, and Protect, giving the team a strong spread option and a different physical angle from Kingambit. Eternal Flower Floette added a special setup line with Floettite, Flower Veil, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, and Protect. Incineroar’s Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Helping Hand, and Parting Shot rounded out the support core, while Sneasler’s Focus Sash set with Poison Touch, Dire Claw, Close Combat, Coaching, and Fake Out made it both disruptive and enabling.
Across the top teams, several patterns were clear. Focus Sash appeared on Sneasler, Basculegion, Beartic, and Excadrill among the top four, showing how valuable guaranteed action remained in this format. Sitrus Berry was also common, appearing on Incineroar, Pelipper, Armarouge, and Milotic across the listed high finishers. Life Orb showed up repeatedly as well, including Vuultur’s Kingambit, rubinek’s Garchomp, and Sascha "Kirin" Eilts’s Gholdengo.
Sneasler was the most notable repeated Pokemon at the top, appearing on both first and second, with different items and abilities: Focus Sash with Poison Touch for Vuultur, and Electric Seed with Unburden for PapaDrew. Garchomp also appeared twice in the top three, while Incineroar remained a major glue pick on Vuultur’s first-place team and several other top-eight teams. Weather also had a strong presence: PapaDrew used Pelipper with Drizzle alongside Basculegion, rubinek used Abomasnow with Snow Warning and Beartic with Slush Rush, and Sascha "Kirin" Eilts used Tyranitar with Sand Stream plus Excadrill with Sand Rush.
Takeaway for ladder players: flexible Fake Out cores backed by multiple setup or priority attackers are still a reliable way to control Regulation Set M-C games.
