| 4 | RedVGC [PH] | 5-2-0 | Sylveon, Garchomp, Venusaur, Charizard, Incineroar, Farigiraf |
Cansecochann1994’s winning team was built around flexible speed control and strong damage options from both ends of the Speed spectrum. Farigiraf held Sitrus Berry with Armor Tail and carried Helping Hand, Psychic, Trick Room, and Protect, giving the team a clear Trick Room mode alongside Quiet Torkoal. Torkoal’s Charcoal Drought set with Eruption, Weather Ball, Earth Power, and Protect gave the team a straightforward way to convert Trick Room turns into pressure.
The team was not limited to slow play, though. Staraptor used Staraptite with Intimidate and a Jolly nature, carrying Close Combat, Brave Bird, Tailwind, and Protect. That gave Cansecochann1994 a second speed-control route for matchups where Tailwind was preferred over Trick Room. Sneasler added Focus Sash consistency, Fake Out utility, and immediate attacks in Poison Jab, Close Combat, and Rock Slide. Delphox with Delphoxite, Heat Wave, Psychic, Nasty Plot, and Protect supplied a special attacking setup option, while Life Orb Kingambit with Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Protect rounded out the team with priority and physical damage.
Across the top teams, Sneasler was one of the clearest repeated picks, appearing on the first-, second-, sixth-, and eighth-place teams. The first two Sneasler sets were both Focus Sash / Poison Touch / Jolly and included Fake Out, Poison Jab, and Close Combat, though their fourth moves differed. Farigiraf also appeared in both first and fourth, each using Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Trick Room, and Protect.
Incineroar remained a major support presence, showing up on Vybruh, RedVGC, and Davibay’s teams, always with Intimidate and Fake Out. Kingambit appeared on three top-eight teams, including the winner’s Life Orb Defiant set and Davibay’s Life Orb Defiant set. Weather was also common: Torkoal appeared on the winning team and TayOpkMn’s team, Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on RedVGC and BIO, and JurassicJoints used a Tyranitar plus Excadrill sand pairing.
Item trends were equally concentrated. Sitrus Berry appeared on key support Pokemon such as Farigiraf, Incineroar, Wash Rotom, and Torkoal. Focus Sash was used on Sneasler, Excadrill, and Venusaur. Life Orb showed up on several offensive pieces, including Kingambit, Venusaur, Pelipper, Armarouge, and Garchomp.
Takeaway for ladder players: teams that can switch between Trick Room, Tailwind, Fake Out pressure, and strong weather-backed damage remain difficult to pin down in Regulation Set M-C.
