5º Torneio Liga CWB Pokémon Champions recap and results

The 5º Torneio Liga CWB Pokémon Champions was played on 2026-10-15 on Limitless with 16 players in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. The final round path listed AbooVGC1 defeating gaty, then AbooVGC1 defeating alistarvgc, before AndresitoKun beat AbooVGC1 to finish at the top of the standings.

Place Player Record Team
1 AndresitoKun [CL] 5-3-0 Garchomp, Sneasler, Indeedee, Charizard, Metagross, Milotic
2 AbooVGC1 6-2-0 Basculegion ♀, Raichu, Golisopod, Archaludon, Pelipper, Sneasler
3 HisakiGih [BR] 4-3-0 Charizard, Garchomp, Incineroar, Gholdengo, Rillaboom, Sneasler
4 AlistarVGC [BR] 4-3-0 Raichu, Espathra, Garchomp, Volcarona, Archaludon, Pelipper

AndresitoKun’s winning team combined immediate pressure, terrain control, and multiple speed modes. Choice Scarf Garchomp with Rough Skin gave the team fast spread damage through Rock Slide and Earthquake, while Dragon Claw and Stomping Tantrum kept it from relying only on spread attacks. Sneasler used Psychic Seed with Unburden, pairing naturally with Indeedee’s Psychic Surge to become a major mid-game attacker with Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Rock Slide.

Indeedee was more than a terrain setter. Focus Sash made it a reliable utility piece, and its moveset of Expanding Force, Hyper Voice, Imprison, and Trick Room gave AndresitoKun both Psychic Terrain offense and a way to contest Trick Room lines. Charizard with Charizardite Y added Heat Wave pressure, Weather Ball, Ancient Power, and Protect, giving the team another fast special attacker with weather-based damage. Metagross with Metagrossite brought Clear Body before Mega Evolution and a physical set of Steel Roller, Psychic Fangs, Body Press, and Protect, which fit well beside the team’s terrain focus. Milotic rounded out the six with Competitive, Sitrus Berry, Scald, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, and Protect, giving the team an Intimidate deterrent and another form of speed control.

Across the top cut of the standings, Garchomp was one of the clearest repeated picks. It appeared on the teams of AndresitoKun, HisakiGih, and AlistarVGC in the top four, with both Choice Scarf and Garchompite Z variants represented. Sneasler also had a strong showing across the top three, appearing with Psychic Seed, White Herb, and Grassy Seed, but always with Unburden and a core attacking package including Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Rock Slide.

Weather was another major theme. Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on AndresitoKun and HisakiGih, while AbooVGC1 and AlistarVGC both used Pelipper with Drizzle alongside Archaludon with Stamina and Electro Shot. Those two rain teams also shared Archaludon with Leftovers, though AbooVGC1 used a Bold nature and AlistarVGC used Modest. Raichu was common as well, with AbooVGC1 and AlistarVGC both relying on Lightning Rod and Fake Out, but choosing different stones in Raichunite Y and Raichunite X.

The item trends were similarly concentrated: Focus Sash appeared on key enablers such as Indeedee and Basculegion ♀, Rocky Helmet showed up on Incineroar and Volcarona, and Miracle Seed Rillaboom was present just outside and inside the upper standings.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with a clear speed plan, because the top teams all had ways to pressure turn order through Choice Scarf, Unburden, Icy Wind, Tailwind, Trick Room, or weather.
