TARTAN'S ROAD TO NICE #42! - [CHAMPIONS REG M-C!] results

TARTAN'S ROAD TO NICE #42! - [CHAMPIONS REG M-C!] was played on 2026-10-13 on Limitless, with 82 players competing in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. Altkyle [GB] finished first at 10-1-0, ahead of Bef [IT] on the same record. The listed final round results were eanna_h over emoolew, leskovgc over robin_vgc, and paparott over madelinestarling.

Place Player Record Team
1 Altkyle [GB] 10-1-0 Dragonite / Annihilape / Raichu / Gholdengo / Hisuian Arcanine / Rillaboom
2 Bef [IT] 10-1-0 Barbaracle / Farigiraf / Torkoal / Venusaur / Vivillon / Kangaskhan
3 emose [GB] 8-2-0 Garchomp / Incineroar / Rillaboom / Gholdengo / Eternal Flower Floette / Volcarona
4 Vinnamon [SV] 7-3-0 Farigiraf / Rillaboom / Camerupt / Kingambit / Araquanid / Altaria

Altkyle’s winning team combined immediate pressure with multiple forms of positioning. Dragonite held Dragoninite with Inner Focus and carried Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team a speed-control option that did not need to abandon offense entirely. Annihilape used Choice Scarf with Defiant and an Adamant nature, packing Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Ice Punch, and Rock Tomb for fast direct damage and speed interaction.

The support core was especially important. Raichu brought Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect, while Rillaboom added Grassy Surge, Miracle Seed, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and High Horsepower. That gave Altkyle two Fake Out users, priority through Grassy Glide and Extreme Speed, and useful board control alongside Tailwind. Gholdengo supplied a familiar special attacking win condition with Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Hisuian Arcanine rounded out the six with Focus Sash, Rock Head, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect, giving the team another strong physical attacker with priority access.

Across the top teams, Rillaboom was one of the clearest trends. It appeared on the first, third, fourth, and sixth-place teams, most often with Grassy Surge and Fake Out, and three of those used Miracle Seed. Gholdengo also had a strong showing, appearing on Altkyle, emose, and LeskoVGC, each with Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect.

Farigiraf remained a major Regulation Set M-C piece as well, appearing on Bef, Vinnamon, Katiclus, and PapaRott, with Trick Room and Helping Hand showing up repeatedly. Incineroar was similarly common in the upper standings, appearing on emose, Katiclus, LeskoVGC, and PapaRott. Several teams leaned into defined speed modes: Tailwind from Dragonite, Volcarona, or Whimsicott; Trick Room from Farigiraf, Indeedee ♀, Armarouge, and Hatterene; and weather packages from Torkoal with Venusaur or Charizard.

Takeaway for ladder players: the top teams rewarded flexible speed control, Fake Out pressure, and attackers that could threaten immediately while still carrying Protect.
