Magician Delphox Gets a Global Challenge Test

A new YouTube upload puts Delphox’s Magician ability into the spotlight during a Pokémon Champions Global Challenge run. The listing does not provide a full team sheet or match record, but the focus is clear: testing whether Delphox can do more than act as a standard special attacker in doubles.

Magician is the main point of interest. When built around properly, it can punish opposing item choices by stealing an item after Delphox lands a damaging move, assuming Delphox is not already holding one. In a format where held items can decide speed control, survivability, and damage benchmarks, that kind of disruption is worth watching even if it is harder to use consistently than a normal damage-boosting item.

For Champions players, the practical question is whether Delphox can afford the tradeoff. Running itemless or using a consumable setup asks a lot from a Pokémon that still needs positioning support, protection from faster threats, and a reason to be picked over other Fire- or Psychic-type attackers. The video should be most useful as a case study in how Magician functions under real Global Challenge pressure.
