PokeInstinct VGC #2 results: Aizawa wins Regulation Set M-B

PokeInstinct VGC #2 was an 88-player online Pokemon Champions event played on Limitless on 2026-09-05 under Regulation Set M-B. The final round included feerachid vs aro, drayke vs aizawa, and nauzta vs 1ycanius, with aro, aizawa, and 1ycanius taking those matches. Aizawa [UY] finished on top at 9-2-0.

Place Player Record Team
1 Aizawa [UY] 9-2-0 Dragonite, Sneasler, Basculegion, Kingambit, Garchomp, Eternal Flower Floette
2 BonnieSSR [DE] 10-1-0 Delphox, Sneasler, Sinistcha, Incineroar, Eternal Flower Floette, Kingambit
3 Seb96m [MX] 8-2-0 Sableye, Annihilape, Scovillain, Sinistcha, Tyranitar, Garchomp
4 1ycanius [US] 8-2-0 Gengar, Swampert, Politoed, Archaludon, Vivillon, Grimmsnarl

Aizawa’s winning team was built around strong immediate pressure with several flexible endgame options. Dragonite held Dragoninite with Multiscale and a Modest set of Dragon Pulse, Heat Wave, Extreme Speed, and Protect, giving the team spread damage and priority in one slot. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite, Flower Veil, Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, Light of Ruin, and Protect added another special attacker that could threaten both single-target and spread damage.

The physical side was just as direct. Sneasler used Focus Sash with Poison Touch and Jolly Fake Out, Feint, Close Combat, and Dire Claw, giving Aizawa disruption plus fast pressure. Basculegion carried Life Orb with Adaptability and Adamant Aqua Jet, Wave Crash, Last Respects, and Protect, making it a major damage piece and a strong late-game threat. Kingambit used Chople Berry with Defiant and Adamant Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, and Low Kick, while Garchomp rounded things out with Choice Scarf, Rough Skin, and Jolly Rock Slide, Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, and Dragon Claw. The result was a team with priority from multiple angles, spread attacks, and enough item diversity to avoid relying on one mode.

Across the top standings, several patterns stood out. Sneasler was a major presence, appearing on Aizawa’s winning team and BonnieSSR’s runner-up team, both with Focus Sash and Poison Touch. Kingambit also showed up repeatedly near the top, with Aizawa using Chople Berry while BonnieSSR used Life Orb. Eternal Flower Floette appeared on both of the top two teams as well, each holding Floettite.

Garchomp remained a reliable physical attacker, appearing on Aizawa’s Choice Scarf version and Seb96m’s Life Orb version. Sinistcha appeared on both BonnieSSR and Seb96m’s teams, with Hospitality and Rage Powder plus Trick Room on both sets, though their defensive berries differed between Colbur Berry and Occa Berry. Focus Sash was one of the most visible items across the upper cut, appearing on Sneasler for Aizawa and BonnieSSR and on Vivillon for 1ycanius.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Focus Sash Sneasler, Kingambit, Eternal Flower Floette, and fast Garchomp structures when testing Regulation Set M-B teams.
