MikeDyson’s winning team was built around strong positional support for Blastoise and Delphox. Blastoise carried Blastoisinite with Rain Dish and a Modest set of Water Spout, Dark Pulse, Shell Smash, and Protect, giving the team a clear high-damage centerpiece. Delphox added another setup threat with Delphoxite, Blaze, Timid, Heat Wave, Psyshock, Protect, and Nasty Plot.
The rest of the roster was heavily support-oriented. Incineroar brought Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot, giving the team reliable board control. Sinistcha added Hospitality, Rage Powder, Trick Room, Matcha Gotcha, and Protect, while Maushold stacked Friend Guard with Follow Me, Feint, Taunt, and Protect. Sneasler rounded things out with Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Fake Out, Quick Guard, Close Combat, and Poison Jab. Between redirection, Fake Out pressure, Friend Guard, Parting Shot, and Trick Room, the team had several ways to create turns for either Shell Smash Blastoise or Nasty Plot Delphox.
Across the top cut, Incineroar remained one of the clearest staples. It appeared on the winning team, PokeReplay’s third-place team, and 138mysx’s fourth-place team, with Sitrus Berry on both MikeDyson’s and PokeReplay’s versions. Fake Out and Parting Shot were also common parts of those Incineroar sets.
Sneasler was another major presence, appearing on both first and second place, as well as several lower top-eight teams. MikeDyson used Focus Sash with Poison Touch, while DisPlotfr [GB] used White Herb with Unburden, Fake Out, Dire Claw, Close Combat, and Protect. That contrast showed Sneasler filling both disruptive and offensive roles.
The top four also featured repeated offensive cores. Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on both PokeReplay’s and 138mysx’s teams, paired with Garchomp and Sylveon in both cases. DisPlotfr [GB] instead leaned into Froslass, Tyranitar, and Excadrill, with Tyranitarite, Sand Stream, and Sand Rush Excadrill providing a very different approach from the Charizardite Y teams.
Takeaway for ladder players: the best-performing teams here paired major damage threats with layered support such as Fake Out, redirection, Intimidate, and speed control.
