masajji’s winning team had a clear rain-and-speed-control structure, but it was not one-dimensional. Pelipper supplied Drizzle and Tailwind while also carrying Focus Sash, Wide Guard, Weather Ball, and Hurricane. That paired naturally with Araquanid, which used Mystic Water and Water Bubble alongside Liquidation, Infestation, Protect, and a second Wide Guard. Between those two slots, masajji had both offensive Water pressure and strong spread-move denial.

The rest of the team gave the composition several alternate modes. Farigiraf brought Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Trick Room, Psychic, Thunderbolt, and Protect, giving the team a slower route when Tailwind was not the best plan. Sylveon added Pixilate offense with Fairy Feather, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Yawn, and Detect. Swampert held Swampertite and gave the team Earthquake, Knock Off, Wave Crash, and Protect. Archaludon rounded the six out with Leftovers, Stamina, Protect, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, and Flash Cannon, giving masajji a durable special attacker that fit the broader rain structure.

Across the upper standings, several patterns stood out. Farigiraf and Sylveon both appeared on the champion’s team and Airpod’s fourth-place team, with Farigiraf providing Trick Room and Sylveon leaning on Fairy Feather plus Pixilate. Raichu with Raichunite Y and Lightning Rod appeared on both Kardeas’s and Airpod’s teams, each carrying Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect in some order.

Hisuian Arcanine was another common pressure piece, appearing on Kardeas, Airpod, and Sooner. The Kardeas and Airpod versions both used Focus Sash, Rock Head, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect. Kingambit was heavily represented from fourth through eighth, appearing on Airpod, palkia, Sooner, ScarletA, and toasty_yhg with Defiant and priority from Sucker Punch. Basculegion also showed up on palkia, Sooner, and ScarletA, with Adaptability and combinations of Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, Flip Turn, Choice Scarf, or Life Orb.

Item trends were similarly concentrated. Focus Sash appeared on Pelipper, Hisuian Arcanine, Whimsicott, Maushold, and Alolan Ninetales among the listed top teams. Leftovers showed up on Archaludon, Corviknight, Sinistcha, Kommo-o, and Wash Rotom, while Sitrus Berry appeared on Farigiraf, Annihilape, Garchomp, and Incineroar. Speed control was everywhere: Tailwind, Trick Room, Icy Wind, Thunder Wave, Quash, Encore, and Fake Out all appeared across the top eight.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for flexible speed control and repeated priority pressure rather than assuming Regulation Set M-B teams commit to only one mode.
