˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour results recap

The ˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour was a 14-player online event on Limitless, played in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. PapaRott finished first at 7-1-0, with listed final-round wins over altkyle and blazekick. BlazeKick also defeated aoldale in the final-round match list.

Place Player Record Team
1 PapaRott [US] 7-1-0 Lycanroc Dusk, Milotic, Golisopod, Rillaboom, Blaziken, Farigiraf
2 Altkyle [GB] 6-2-0 Dragonite, Annihilape, Raichu, Gholdengo, Hisuian Arcanine, Rillaboom
3 vishnu21 [US] 5-2-0 Rillaboom, Volcarona, Floette, Sneasler, Garchomp, Kingambit
4 BlazeKick [CA] 4-3-0 Rillaboom, Sneasler, Salamence, Hisuian Arcanine, Raichu, Milotic

PapaRott’s winning team was built around layered pressure rather than a single mode. Rillaboom with Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and U-Turn gave the team immediate positioning and priority damage. Lycanroc Dusk added Focus Sash-backed Rock Slide, Close Combat, Accelerock, and Protect, creating another source of fast pressure and priority. Blaziken with Blazikenite and Speed Boost supplied a second major offensive angle through Flare Blitz, Rock Slide, Close Combat, and Protect.

The support structure was just as important. Farigiraf carried Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Twin Beam, Hyper Voice, Helping Hand, and Trick Room, giving PapaRott both priority control and a slower mode when needed. Milotic’s Grassy Seed, Competitive, Scald, Recover, Icy Wind, and Protect offered staying power and speed control, while also punishing stat-lowering pressure. Golisopod with Golisopite, Emergency Exit, Leech Life, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Protect rounded out the composition with bulk, priority, and another physical attacking profile.

Across the top teams, Rillaboom was the clearest trend. It appeared on all four top-finishing teams, with Grassy Surge and Fake Out present on every listed Rillaboom set. Miracle Seed was used by PapaRott, Altkyle, and vishnu21, while BlazeKick opted for Life Orb. Grassy Glide also appeared on every top-four Rillaboom, reinforcing how central priority Grass pressure was in this event.

Focus Sash was another recurring item near the top. PapaRott used it on Lycanroc Dusk, Altkyle on Hisuian Arcanine, and vishnu21 on Kingambit. BlazeKick also had Focus Sash Hisuian Arcanine. Hisuian Arcanine itself showed up on both Altkyle’s and BlazeKick’s teams with Rock Head, Jolly nature, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect or a similar offensive package.

Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Timid nature, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect was shared by Altkyle and BlazeKick. Sneasler appeared on both vishnu21 and BlazeKick, using Unburden with different enabling items: White Herb for vishnu21 and Grassy Seed for BlazeKick. Milotic also appeared on both the winning team and fourth place, with Competitive and Icy Wind on both sets.

Takeaway for ladder players: bring a clear plan for Rillaboom, priority interaction, and mixed speed control, because the top teams leaned heavily on all three.
