naibot2814's winning team was built around fast pressure with multiple ways to dictate speed. Whimsicott with Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect gave the team immediate speed control and a way to punish passive turns. That paired naturally with Charizard holding Charizardite Y, using Drought with Weather Ball, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, and Protect to apply spread damage and threaten Water- and Grass-relevant matchups through sun-boosted positioning.
The rest of the composition leaned into physical offense and priority. Basculegion with Mystic Water, Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Protect gave naibot2814 a strong Water attacker with late-game upside. Kingambit’s Chople Berry, Defiant, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, Kowtow Cleave, and Low Kick made it both a defensive stabilizer and a priority closer. Sneasler used White Herb and Unburden with Close Combat, Dire Claw, Rock Tomb, and Protect, adding another fast attacker that could pressure common targets after its item was consumed. Garchomp rounded out the six with Life Orb, Rough Skin, Rock Slide, Earthquake, Dragon Claw, and Protect, giving the team spread physical damage and another beneficiary of Tailwind.
Several trends stood out near the top. Kingambit appeared on three of the top four teams, with Chople Berry on both naibot2814’s and Last_Memory_of_Her’s versions, while Zady_11 used Focus Sash. Sneasler was also on three of the top four, though the builds differed: White Herb with Unburden for naibot2814, Electric Seed with Unburden for Peppe, and Focus Sash with Poison Touch for Last_Memory_of_Her.
Charizard with Charizardite Y was present on both the first- and third-place teams, and both used Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect. Basculegion also showed flexibility: naibot2814 used a Mystic Water Adaptability set, while Peppe used Basculegion ♀ with Focus Sash, Swift Swim, Muddy Water, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, and Protect on a Drizzle team with Pelipper. Focus Sash was especially common in the top four, appearing on Whimsicott, Basculegion ♀, Kingambit, and Sneasler across different teams.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Tailwind-backed offense, Kingambit priority, and multiple distinct Sneasler builds in Regulation Set M-C.
