Altkyle’s winning team combined multiple forms of tempo control with strong immediate damage. Dragonite held Dragoninite with Inner Focus and ran a special Modest set of Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team speed control without relying on a dedicated support slot. Raichu used Raichunite Y with Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect, adding both disruption and Electric redirection utility.
The rest of the six supported that fast-paced plan well. Annihilape carried Choice Scarf with Defiant and coverage in Shadow Claw, Close Combat, Ice Punch, and Rock Tomb, allowing it to pressure several board states immediately. Gholdengo used Life Orb with Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect, providing a major special attacking threat that could either swing damage right away or boost. Hisuian Arcanine’s Focus Sash, Rock Head, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect gave the team high-power physical pressure plus priority. Rillaboom rounded the team out with Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and High Horsepower, adding terrain, Fake Out, and another priority angle.
Across the top teams, Fake Out was a clear theme. Altkyle had it on Raichu and Rillaboom, while Titouzerr used Fake Out on Incineroar and Rillaboom, and Zevenit had it on Raichu. Rillaboom itself appeared on both the first- and second-place teams, each using Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge, though the move choices differed slightly.
Focus Sash also showed up repeatedly near the top. Altkyle used it on Hisuian Arcanine, Titouzerr used it on Vivillon, IlRepe used it on Whimsicott, and Zevenit used it on Basculegion ♀. Life Orb was another common damage item, appearing on Gholdengo, Kommo-o, and Basculegion among the top three teams.
Speed control came in several forms rather than one dominant package. Altkyle and IlRepe both had Tailwind, while Zevenit leaned on rain support from Pelipper with Damp Rock and Drizzle alongside Swift Swim Basculegion ♀. IlRepe and Zevenit also both included Sneasler with Unburden, though IlRepe paired it with White Herb while Zevenit used Electric Seed.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with overlapping tempo tools, because the top teams mixed Fake Out, Tailwind, priority, weather, and strong item-based damage rather than relying on a single mode.
