skicat’s team was built around layered positioning rather than a single linear mode. Mawile with Mawilite and Intimidate gave the team a bulky physical anchor, with Iron Head, Play Rough, Sucker Punch, and Protect covering both board control and late-game cleanup. Rillaboom added Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and U-turn, giving skicat terrain control and flexible pivoting.
The support shell was especially important. Farigiraf with Sitrus Berry and Armor Tail brought Trick Room, Expanding Force, Helping Hand, and Protect, letting the team operate into faster compositions while also denying priority pressure. Milotic used Grassy Seed with Competitive, Scald, Ice Beam, Icy Wind, and Protect, creating a strong answer into Intimidate-heavy fields while adding speed control. Hisuian Arcanine carried Focus Sash with Rock Head, Head Smash, Flare Blitz, Extreme Speed, and Protect, giving the team immediate damage and priority reach. Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, and Protect rounded out the team with more disruption and Electric redirection.
Across the top four, Incineroar remained a major fixture, appearing on Djordje N [RS], Person7, and Jul791. Fake Out was everywhere: Incineroar, Rillaboom, Pawmot, Sneasler, and Raichu all carried it among the top teams. Focus Sash also showed up repeatedly on Hisuian Arcanine, Pawmot, and Sneasler, reinforcing how valuable guaranteed action was in this field.
There was also a clear Mega diversity trend. The top four included Gengarite, Golisopite, Meganiumite, Mawilite, Raichunite Y, Delphoxite, and Floettite, with Eternal Flower Floette and Delphox both appearing on two top-four teams. Djordje N [RS] leaned into rain and Perish Song with Politoed, Gengar, and Archaludon, while Jul791 paired Eternal Flower Floette and Delphox with Incineroar, Rillaboom, Sneasler, and Kingambit for a more direct balance approach.
Takeaway for ladder players: bring consistent Fake Out counterplay, because the best teams here used it as their main positioning tool.
