The Drywalls Series #24 results: Sooner wins Regulation Set M-C

The Drywalls Series #24 was played on Limitless on 2026-10-26, with 28 players competing in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. Sooner [US] finished first at 6-2-0, winning the final set over PapaRott [US] after earlier final-round wins by Sooner over jeanryupr and PapaRott over slug.

Place Player Record Team
1 Sooner [US] 6-2-0 Rillaboom / Sneasler / Dragonite / Delphox / Kingambit / Basculegion
2 PapaRott [US] 6-2-0 Raichu / Staraptor / Primarina / Hisuian Arcanine / Kingambit / Farigiraf
3 JeanRyuPR [PR] 4-3-0 Raichu / Garchomp / Archaludon / Sneasler / Basculegion ♀ / Pelipper
4 leafbeef [GB] 4-3-0 Garchomp / Charizard / Froslass / Whimsicott / Sneasler / Kingambit

Sooner’s winning team leaned on layered tempo tools and multiple physical pressure points. Rillaboom brought Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, High Horsepower, and Grassy Glide, giving the team terrain control, immediate disruption, and priority damage. Sneasler added a second Fake Out user, with White Herb, Unburden, Close Combat, Quick Guard, and Dire Claw creating a fast pressure piece that could also protect partners from priority with Quick Guard.

The Mega slots were Dragonite with Dragoninite and Delphox with Delphoxite. Dragonite’s Protect, Dragon Pulse, Heat Wave, and Tailwind gave Sooner speed control without giving up spread damage, while Delphox supplied a special attacking route with Protect, Psychic, Heat Wave, and Nasty Plot. That mattered because the rest of the team could threaten immediate physical damage, forcing opponents to respect both sides of the attacking spectrum.

Kingambit and Basculegion rounded out the team as late-game punishers. Kingambit used Life Orb, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, making it difficult for opposing Intimidate-style positioning to slow the team down. Basculegion carried Focus Sash, Adaptability, Protect, Liquidation, Last Respects, and Aqua Jet, giving Sooner another priority option and a clear endgame threat.

Across the top teams, Sneasler was one of the clearest trends. It appeared on the teams of Sooner, JeanRyuPR, leafbeef, DatGuyJimmeh, MrBear21, averagememer57, and slug, usually built around Unburden with items like White Herb, Electric Seed, Grassy Seed, or Focus Sash. Kingambit was also heavily represented, appearing on six of the listed top eight teams, most often with Defiant and Sucker Punch.

Raichu was another major presence near the top, appearing on PapaRott, JeanRyuPR, DatGuyJimmeh, averagememer57, and slug. Its sets varied between Raichunite Y and Raichunite X, but Fake Out, Volt Tackle, Volt Switch, Feint, Encore, and Lightning Rod were recurring pieces of the broader Raichu package. Focus Sash also showed up repeatedly on key utility or offensive Pokemon, including Basculegion, Hisuian Arcanine, Pelipper, Whimsicott, and Sneasler.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Sneasler and Kingambit cores, and make sure your team has a plan for Fake Out pressure backed by priority attackers.
