RookideeVGC Qualifier| Prize Shiny Corviknight results

The RookideeVGC Qualifier| Prize Shiny Corviknight was a 44-player online event on Limitless, played in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. SKF Lyssan [SV] finished first at 9-1-0, closing the event with a final-round win over Incineroar_meta [TH]. Other listed final-round results included incineroar_meta defeating stksigurboy, and frogo [GB] defeating okinawaarg [AR].

Place Player Record Team
1 SKF Lyssan [SV] 9-1-0 Tyranitar, Gardevoir, Indeedee ♀, Gliscor, Sneasler, Heat Rotom
2 Meriwis [CL] 7-3-0 Garchomp, Kingambit, Sylveon, Farigiraf, Sneasler, Kangaskhan
3 frogo [GB] 7-2-0 Incineroar, Rillaboom, Gengar, Kommo-o, Alolan Ninetales, Kingambit
4 Incineroar_meta [TH] 6-3-0 Garchomp, Archaludon, Politoed, Farigiraf, Golisopod, Sneasler

Lyssan’s winning team combined multiple speed and positioning tools around a strong mixed offensive core. Indeedee ♀ with Psychic Surge, Follow Me, and Helping Hand gave the team a clean support base, while Gardevoir with Gardevoirite, Telepathy, Hyper Voice, and Expanding Force provided spread pressure that naturally paired with Psychic Terrain. The Gardevoir set also carried Mystical Fire and Protect, giving it a complete set of offensive and defensive options.

The rest of the team gave Lyssan several ways to avoid being locked into one mode. Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream brought a physical Mega-style presence with Knock Off, Rock Slide, and Low Kick. Gliscor used Life Orb with High Horsepower, Dual Wingbeat, and Tailwind, offering another source of speed control alongside immediate damage. Sneasler was especially notable with Psychic Seed and Unburden, a clear fit next to Indeedee ♀’s terrain, while still carrying Close Combat, Dire Claw, Rock Tomb, and Protect. Heat Rotom rounded out the six with Choice Scarf, Volt Switch, Overheat, Trick, and Discharge, giving the team a fast pivot and item-disruption option.

Across the top teams, Sneasler stood out as one of the most repeated picks, appearing on the first, second, and fourth-place teams with different items: Psychic Seed, White Herb, and White Herb. Garchomp was also prominent near the top, appearing on both Meriwis’s and Incineroar_meta’s teams with Garchompite Z, Rough Skin, and a special attacking set of Dragon Pulse, Earth Power, Power Gem, and Protect.

Several top teams also leaned on familiar support patterns. Farigiraf appeared on the second and fourth-place teams with Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Psychic, Helping Hand, and Trick Room among its moves. Kingambit placed second and third, both using Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect. Weather also showed up in different forms, with Lyssan’s Sand Stream Tyranitar, frogo’s Snow Warning Alolan Ninetales, and Incineroar_meta’s Drizzle Politoed.

Takeaway for ladder players: Psychic Terrain offense with flexible speed control and a well-supported Sneasler remains a practical structure to prepare for.
