Sketch Academy Sunday Regulation M-C Tournament recap results

The Sketch Academy Sunday Regulation M-C Tournament was a 62-player online event on Limitless, played under Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C on 2026-10-05. DyeItTight finished first at 8-1-0, closing the listed final round with a win over tuxedo94. The other listed final round results were sooner over nervo2103 and megaumbreonvgc over cubeshift.

Place Player Record Team
1 DyeItTight [US] 8-1-0 Staraptor, Raichu, Rillaboom, Hisuian Arcanine, Sylveon, Gholdengo
2 MegaUmbreonVGC [US] 7-2-0 Charizard, Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur, Grimmsnarl, Garchomp
3 FlygonThemachine [BR] 6-2-0 Meowstic ♀, Kommo-o, Indeedee, Sneasler, Kingambit, Charizard
4 Sooner [US] 5-3-0 Charizard, Farigiraf, Incineroar, Sylveon, Aerodactyl, Garchomp

DyeItTight’s winning team was built around layered speed control, immediate damage, and multiple forms of positioning. Staraptor brought Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team a fast way to manage opposing physical pressure while enabling its attackers. Raichu with Raichunite Y and Lightning Rod added Fake Out pressure alongside Zap Cannon and Focus Blast, while Rillaboom supplied Grassy Surge, Miracle Seed, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, High Horsepower, and a second Fake Out.

The offensive core was rounded out by Hisuian Arcanine, Sylveon, and Gholdengo. Hisuian Arcanine used Focus Sash with Rock Head, Head Smash, Flare Blitz, Extreme Speed, and Protect, making it a direct attacker that could still contribute priority. Sylveon’s Fairy Feather and Pixilate set of Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Detect gave the team spread pressure and a strong single-target option. Gholdengo with Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect gave DyeItTight a special attacker that could threaten immediate damage or attempt to boost.

The top teams showed several clear Regulation Set M-C patterns. Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on both MegaUmbreonVGC’s runner-up team and FlygonThemachine’s third-place team, then again on Sooner’s fourth-place team. Garchomp was also prominent, appearing on the second- and fourth-place teams and later on Nervo2103’s fifth-place team. Sylveon with Fairy Feather and Pixilate appeared on both DyeItTight’s winning team and Sooner’s fourth-place team, while another Sylveon appeared on gianfraco r’s sixth-place team with Life Orb.

Weather and speed control were major themes. MegaUmbreonVGC used Charizard, Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur, Grimmsnarl, and Garchomp, combining Charizardite Y, Drizzle, Chlorophyll, Tailwind, and screens. Nervo2103 also paired Pelipper and Archaludon, with Farigiraf adding Trick Room and Rain Dance. Farigiraf itself appeared on Sooner, Nervo2103, and gianfraco r, showing the value of Armor Tail and Trick Room options across different builds.

Fake Out remained a major support tool, appearing on DyeItTight’s Raichu and Rillaboom, FlygonThemachine’s Meowstic ♀, Sooner’s Incineroar, and multiple lower top-eight teams. Focus Sash was also widely used, including on Hisuian Arcanine, Venusaur, Indeedee, Aerodactyl, Pelipper, and Kingambit.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with both speed control and priority in mind, because the best teams here stacked Tailwind, Trick Room, Fake Out, and immediate spread damage.
