Sela133VII’s winning team was built around layered speed control and heavy spread pressure. Charizard with Charizardite Y carried Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect, giving the team a central special attacker with strong multi-target damage and coverage. Aerodactyl added Aerodactylite, Unnerve, Jolly speed, and a utility-heavy set of Rock Slide, Dual Wingbeat, Tailwind, and Wide Guard. That combination let the team either push tempo with Tailwind or protect key turns against opposing spread attacks.
Garchomp provided the main physical pressure with Life Orb, Rough Skin, Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, Dragon Claw, and Protect. The set paired naturally with Aerodactyl’s Wide Guard support and gave Sela133VII a direct way to punish grounded targets. Farigiraf was a notable glue pick: Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Psychic, Thunderbolt, Roar, and Trick Room gave the team both anti-priority utility and a secondary speed mode. Sylveon added Fairy Feather Pixilate Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Protect, while Kingambit rounded out the six with Focus Sash, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Low Kick.
Across the top teams, several patterns stood out. Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on both first and second place, and both lists also used Garchomp and Sylveon. Item trends were just as clear. Focus Sash appeared on Kingambit, Aegislash, Excadrill, Hisuian Arcanine, and Scrafty across the top eight. Life Orb showed up on Garchomp, Venusaur, Basculegion, Gholdengo, and Dragonite, reinforcing how many teams leaned on immediate damage rather than slower setup alone. Grassy Seed also had a strong showing on Volcarona and Gholdengo.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for flexible speed control, repeated Fake Out cores, and spread-damage attackers backed by Focus Sash or Life Orb.
