JDevis won with a fast, pressure-heavy team built around multiple immediate threats and several forms of priority. Froslass with Froslassite, Cursed Body, Blizzard, Aurora Veil, Shadow Ball, and Protect gives the team a supportive and offensive lead option, with Aurora Veil standing out as the clearest defensive layer. Scovillain adds a second Mega slot option with Scovillainite, Moody, Rage Powder, Giga Drain, Overheat, and Protect, giving the team redirection alongside special offense.
The rest of the team keeps the tempo high. Sneasler uses White Herb with Unburden, Fake Out, Dire Claw, and Close Combat, combining disruption with immediate physical damage. Kingambit is the standard-looking endgame attacker here, carrying Black Glasses, Defiant, Swords Dance, Kowtow Cleave, and Sucker Punch. Basculegion gives JDevis another Adaptability attacker with Life Orb, Wave Crash, Aqua Jet, and Last Respects, while Lycanroc Dusk adds Focus Sash, Tough Claws, Accelerock, Rock Slide, and Close Combat. Between Fake Out, Rage Powder, Aurora Veil, Sucker Punch, Aqua Jet, and Accelerock, the winning team had several ways to control turns without relying on a single speed plan.
Across the top teams, Kingambit was the defining repeated Pokemon. It appeared on each of the top four teams, always with Defiant and some combination of Kowtow Cleave and Sucker Punch. Life Orb Kingambit showed up for B2K and NavarroVGC, while JDevis used Black Glasses and Raul F used Focus Sash.
Sneasler was also prominent, appearing on the champion’s team as well as B2K and NavarroVGC. Fake Out was common on those Sneasler sets, and both B2K and NavarroVGC used Focus Sash with Poison Touch. Basculegion appeared on the first- and third-place teams, with Adaptability and access to Wave Crash, Last Respects, and Aqua Jet on both.
Another clear pocket of overlap was the B2K and NavarroVGC structure: both used Incineroar, Kingambit, Sinistcha, Sneasler, and Eternal Flower Floette. Their Sinistcha sets shared Occa Berry, Hospitality, Matcha Gotcha, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Protect, while Eternal Flower Floette used Floettite, Flower Veil, Dazzling Gleam, Calm Mind, and Protect on both teams. Raul F’s runner-up team took a different route with Charizard, Aerodactyl, Sylveon, Farigiraf, Kingambit, and Garchomp, pairing Charizardite Y offense with Tailwind from Aerodactyl and Trick Room from Farigiraf.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Kingambit endgames and Sneasler pressure, but do not ignore support pieces like Rage Powder, Aurora Veil, Tailwind, and Trick Room.
