Place Player Record Team
1 Kira2317 [IT] 7-1-0 Farigiraf / Blastoise / Kangaskhan / Vivillon / Torkoal / Basculegion
2 Davide Giomi [IT] 7-1-0 Dragonite / Whimsicott / Eternal Flower Floette / Hisuian Arcanine / Basculegion / Kingambit
3 KrishU17 [CA] 5-2-0 Venusaur / Basculegion / Heat Rotom / Whimsicott / Kingambit / Garchomp
4 Koly [PL] 4-3-0 Venusaur / Charizard / Grimmsnarl / Archaludon / Basculegion / Pelipper

Kira2317’s winning team was built around multiple pressure points rather than a single linear mode. Farigiraf gave the team Trick Room with Armor Tail, carrying Sitrus Berry and a Bold nature alongside Thunderbolt, Psychic, and Protect. That let the team slow the game down for Torkoal, whose Charcoal-boosted Drought set used Eruption, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect.

The team also had strong immediate tempo through Blastoise and Kangaskhan. Blastoise held Blastoisinite with Water Spout, Fake Out, Dark Pulse, and Aura Sphere, giving Kira2317 a high-damage Water option that also contributed Fake Out pressure. Kangaskhan, with Kangaskhanite and Scrappy, added another Fake Out user and direct physical damage through Double-Edge, Ice Punch, and Drain Punch.

Vivillon was one of the most distinctive picks on the winning roster. Choice Scarf, Compound Eyes, and Timid Sleep Powder gave the team a fast disruption angle, while Rage Powder and Pollen Puff provided utility options. Basculegion rounded out the six with Focus Sash, Adaptability, Liquidation, Aqua Jet, Last Respects, and Protect, giving the team priority and a late-game damage threat.

Across the top cut, Basculegion was the clearest repeated Pokemon. It appeared on each of the top four teams, though Kira2317 used Focus Sash while Davide Giomi, KrishU17, and Koly all used Choice Scarf. Adaptability was consistent on all four Basculegion sets, and Aqua Jet plus Last Respects appeared on every one of them.

Whimsicott also remained a major support piece near the top, appearing on the second- and third-place teams with Focus Sash, Prankster, Tailwind, Encore, Moonblast, and Protect. Kingambit was another repeated finisher, used by Davide Giomi and KrishU17 with Black Glasses, Defiant, Adamant, Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, and Protect.

Weather and Mega Stone diversity were also notable. Kira2317 used Torkoal with Drought, while Koly’s fourth-place team combined Charizard with Charizardite Y, Venusaur, and Pelipper with Drizzle. The top four also featured Blastoisinite, Kangaskhanite, Floettite, Venusaurite, and Charizardite Y across different teams.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Basculegion on both Choice Scarf and Focus Sash sets, and make sure your team has a plan into Fake Out pressure, Tailwind, and Trick Room.
