tsumi88’s winning team was built around layered positioning tools and multiple pressure points. Incineroar provided the familiar Intimidate, Fake Out, Parting Shot, and Helping Hand package, with Passho Berry helping it stay on the field against Water pressure. Sinistcha added Hospitality support, Rage Powder redirection, Trick Room control, Life Dew, and Matcha Gotcha, giving the team a strong defensive and tempo-focused core.
The offensive side was split across several different modes. Kingambit used Life Orb and Defiant with Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, Swords Dance, and Protect, giving the team a threatening physical attacker that also punished opposing stat drops. Sneasler added Focus Sash utility with Fake Out and Quick Guard while still carrying Poison Jab and Close Combat. Eternal Flower Floette brought Floettite with Flower Veil, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, and Protect, functioning as a setup-oriented Fairy attacker. Blastoise rounded out the team with Blastoisinite, Rain Dish, Water Spout, Dark Pulse, Shell Smash, and Protect, giving tsumi88 a separate high-ceiling special attacker.
Across the top standings, Incineroar and Kingambit were two of the clearest repeat picks. Incineroar appeared on the first, second, sixth, and eighth-place teams, most often with Intimidate, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, and Parting Shot variants. Kingambit appeared on the first, second, and sixth-place teams, always with Defiant and Sucker Punch, and Life Orb showed up on both tsumi88’s and Reddo161’s versions.
Basculegion was another major presence, appearing on the second, third, fourth, and fifth-place teams. Its sets varied between Focus Sash, Mystic Water, and Choice Scarf, but Last Respects and Aqua Jet were consistent across those appearances. Charizard also showed up repeatedly in the top eight, including Charizardite Y on Zephyr0811, Vinz99, BadRat, and FlamingRaccoon, plus Charizardite X on orielstar.
Weather and speed control were spread throughout the top cut. Pelipper teams used Drizzle with Tailwind, while Charizardite Y teams leaned on Blaze or Solar Power with Weather Ball and Solar Beam. Trick Room was present on tsumi88’s Sinistcha, Zephyr0811’s Farigiraf, and orielstar’s Sinistcha, while Whimsicott and Pelipper carried Tailwind on other high-finishing teams. Focus Sash also appeared frequently on Sneasler, Basculegion, Whimsicott, and Kingambit.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Incineroar plus setup attackers, Basculegion endgames, and flexible speed control from both Trick Room and Tailwind teams.
