Abnaa’s winning team was built around flexible speed control and layered pressure. Aerodactyl carried Aerodactylite with Tailwind, Rock Slide, Dual Wingbeat, and Wide Guard, giving the team a fast lead option that could support or pressure immediately. Farigiraf added the slower mode with Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Psychic, Helping Hand, Thunderbolt, and Trick Room. That combination let Abnaa avoid being locked into a single pace of play.
The damage core was direct and efficient. Life Orb Garchomp with Rough Skin used Rock Slide, Dragon Claw, Protect, and Stomping Tantrum, while Charizard with Charizardite Y brought Protect, Weather Ball, Heat Wave, and Solar Beam. Kingambit used Focus Sash and Defiant with Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Low Kick, giving the team a strong endgame piece and priority pressure. Sylveon rounded out the six with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Protect, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, and Quick Attack, adding spread damage and another form of priority. The result was a team that could set Tailwind, reverse speed with Trick Room, and still trade well through strong neutral attacks.
The most visible trend near the top was the shared Charizard, Kingambit, and Garchomp shell. Abnaa, M_rada, and Sackapow all used Charizard with Charizardite Y and Garchomp with Life Orb. All three also used Kingambit, though Abnaa chose Focus Sash while M_rada and Sackapow used Chople Berry. M_rada and Sackapow had especially similar teams, both running Sneasler, Whimsicott, Charizard, Kingambit, Garchomp, and Froslass, with White Herb Unburden Sneasler, Focus Sash Prankster Whimsicott, and Froslassite Froslass.
Sneasler was another major top-four presence, appearing on the second, third, and fourth-place teams. Whimsicott appeared on both M_rada and Sackapow’s teams as the clear Tailwind option, while TrevorIsMaiWaifu took a different route with Gardevoirite Gardevoir, Absolite Z Absol, Psychic Seed Sneasler, Indeedee ♀, Armarouge, and Kommo-o. That fourth-place team leaned into Psychic Surge support, Follow Me, Helping Hand, Wide Guard, and Expanding Force rather than the Charizard-Garchomp-Kingambit structure seen above it.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare specifically for Charizardite Y, Life Orb Garchomp, Kingambit, and White Herb Unburden Sneasler, because they defined much of the top cut here.
