FinnzVGC's winning team combined strong special pressure, priority interaction, redirection, and late-game physical damage. Delphox carried Delphoxite with Blaze, Timid, and Heat Wave, Psychic, Nasty Plot, Protect, giving the team a clear special setup threat that can also apply spread damage. Blastoise with Blastoisinite, Rain Dish, Modest, Water Spout, Shell Smash, Dark Pulse, Protect added a second special win condition and a powerful Water Spout angle after setup.
The support structure was very direct. Sneasler used Focus Sash, Poison Touch, Jolly, Close Combat, Poison Jab, Fake Out, Quick Guard, offering Fake Out pressure plus Quick Guard protection. Incineroar was the familiar Sitrus Berry Intimidate pivot with Parting Shot, Fake Out, Throat Chop, Flare Blitz. Sinistcha gave the team Hospitality support, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Matcha Gotcha, while Occa Berry helped it stay functional into Fire pressure. Kingambit rounded out the team with Life Orb, Defiant, Adamant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Protect, giving FinnzVGC a physical punish option and priority endgame.
One of the clearest trends in the top cut was overlap between first and third place. WestyLiam also used Sinistcha, Delphox, Incineroar, Kingambit, and Sneasler, with Eternal Flower Floette as the sixth slot instead of Blastoise. The Delphox set was identical between the two teams: Delphoxite, Blaze, Timid, Heat Wave, Psychic, Nasty Plot, Protect. Their Kingambit sets also matched exactly with Life Orb, Defiant, Adamant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, Protect.
Across the wider top standings, Incineroar and Sneasler remained heavily represented. Incineroar appeared on the teams of FinnzVGC, WestyLiam, Zio_Gelato, Jhinting, and Silverland, always with Intimidate and Fake Out somewhere in the moveset. Sneasler appeared on FinnzVGC, WestyLiam, Zio_Gelato, Jhinting, and Silverland, with Focus Sash Poison Touch sets in first, third, and eighth, and White Herb Unburden sets in fifth and sixth.
Kingambit was another major piece near the top, appearing on first, third, and fourth. Farigiraf also had a strong showing on Vanini, francede, and B3rtani, all with Armor Tail and Sitrus Berry. Rillaboom appeared repeatedly as well, including Vanini, Zio_Gelato, Jhinting, and Silverland, all using Grassy Surge with Fake Out and Grassy Glide present.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Fake Out-heavy teams built around Incineroar, Sneasler, and Rillaboom, while respecting Delphox and Kingambit as serious win conditions.
