Hatterene Series W35/2026 M-B results recap

Hatterene Series W35/2026 - 6pm UTC - M-B was a 19-player online event on Limitless, played under Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-B. MeganVGC finished undefeated at 6-0-0, taking final-round wins over koly and gothicrose, while koly also defeated rainbuckets in the closing set of matches.

Place Player Record Team
1 MeganVGC [US] 6-0-0 Glimmora, Staraptor, Hydreigon, Gholdengo, Milotic, Whimsicott
2 Koly [PL] 4-2-0 Basculegion, Garchomp, Scizor, Tyranitar, Sneasler, Corviknight
3 rainbuckets 3-2-0 Gengar, Incineroar, Alolan Ninetales, Tinkaton, Slowking, Hydreigon
4 Gothicrose [US] 3-2-0 Venusaur, Delphox, Garchomp, Incineroar, Farigiraf, Whimsicott

MeganVGC’s winning team was built around flexible pressure rather than a single narrow mode. Whimsicott gave the team speed control with Tailwind, disruption through Encore, and a reliable safety net with Focus Sash. That let the offensive core of Glimmora, Staraptor, Hydreigon, and Gholdengo play aggressively while still having Protect options across the board.

Glimmora carried Glimmoranite with Toxic Debris and a Modest attacking set of Sludge Bomb, Power Gem, Earth Power, and Spiky Shield. That coverage paired cleanly with Hydreigon’s Life Orb special pressure from Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, and Earth Power. Gholdengo added another special attacker, using Wise Glasses with Flash Cannon, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect, giving the team a setup threat that could punish passive turns.

Staraptor was the physical centerpiece, using Staraptite, Intimidate, Adamant nature, Brave Bird, Close Combat, Roost, and Protect. Intimidate support also worked well with Milotic, whose Competitive ability created a natural deterrent to opposing stat drops. Milotic’s Leftovers set with Scald, Ice Beam, Recover, and Protect rounded out the composition with bulk and staying power, giving MeganVGC more room to play longer games when immediate offense was not enough.

Across the top teams, Garchomp was one of the clearest trends. It appeared on koly, Gothicrose, PotatoThingy, Izzywooperstan, ElsaStegosaurus, and edengardenz, with sets ranging from Garchompite special coverage on koly and ElsaStegosaurus to Life Orb physical sets on Gothicrose, PotatoThingy, and Izzywooperstan. Whimsicott was also prominent, appearing on MeganVGC, Gothicrose, PotatoThingy, and Izzywooperstan, usually bringing Tailwind and Moonblast, with Focus Sash on three of those four.

Life Orb showed up repeatedly as an offensive item, including Hydreigon for MeganVGC and rainbuckets, Scizor for koly and ElsaStegosaurus, and Garchomp on several teams. Sitrus Berry was another common stabilizing choice, used on Basculegion, Incineroar, Farigiraf, and other top-eight picks. Intimidate also remained relevant, with Staraptor, Incineroar, and multiple team structures making use of it, though Competitive Milotic gave the winning team a direct answer to that approach.

Takeaway for ladder players: pair proactive Tailwind offense with enough defensive counterplay, because the winning build showed that pressure and positioning can coexist.
