Jarshall’s winning team is built around layered rain pressure and endgame control. Politoed provides Drizzle with Sitrus Berry and carries Weather Ball, Perish Song, Encore, and Protect, giving the team both immediate weather value and a way to punish passive positions. Swampert with Swampertite and an Adamant nature supplies direct physical damage through Wave Crash, Earthquake, and Ice Punch, while still having Protect for positioning.
The other half of the team supports that plan with disruption rather than just raw offense. Gengar with Gengarite has Shadow Ball, Sludge Bomb, Perish Song, and Protect, giving Jarshall a second Perish Song user alongside Politoed. Incineroar brings the familiar Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot package, notably with Passho Berry. Vivillon adds Focus Sash, Compound Eyes, Sleep Powder, Rage Powder, Hurricane, and Protect, which gives the team both redirection and sleep pressure. Archaludon rounds out the six with Leftovers, Stamina, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, Electro Shot, and Protect, fitting naturally next to Drizzle support.
Across the top teams, rain was a major feature. Jarshall used Politoed, while alessio33 used Pelipper with Drizzle, Tailwind, Wide Guard, Hurricane, and Weather Ball. Both top-two teams also included Archaludon with Leftovers and Stamina, and both used Electro Shot, showing how valuable that slot was in rain structures.
Sun was also present near the top. Alessio33 and holasoy both used Charizard with Charizardite Y, Blaze, Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, and Protect on the former, while holasoy had the same core attacking package. Zulet added a different sun angle with Torkoal using Drought, Charcoal, Eruption, Weather Ball, Earth Power, and Protect, paired with Vileplume carrying Chlorophyll and Sleep Powder.
Another clear trend was the Farigiraf and Sylveon pairing. Holasoy, zulet, and TypicalW all used Farigiraf with Armor Tail and Trick Room alongside Sylveon with Fairy Feather and Pixilate. Kingambit also appeared repeatedly in the upper standings, including holasoy, zulet, and NyulaDrawsVGC, while Garchomp showed up on multiple teams from third through seventh.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for rain-backed Archaludon cores, but do not ignore Perish Song, sleep, and Trick Room modes in Set M-B.
