Luisao’s winning team combined strong positional tools with multiple speed modes. Incineroar provided Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot, while Rillaboom added Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, and U-turn. That gave the team two Fake Out users plus pivoting from both sides, making it easier to position Camerupt, Sylveon, or Farigiraf safely.
The Mega choices were central to the team’s structure. Camerupt held Cameruptite with Solid Rock and a Quiet nature, carrying Heat Wave, Earth Power, Ancient Power, and Protect. That fits cleanly beside Farigiraf, whose Armor Tail, Trick Room, Helping Hand, and Sitrus Berry gave the team a protected slow mode. Raichu with Raichunite Y and Lightning Rod added another Fake Out user, while also threatening Zap Cannon and Focus Blast from a Timid nature.
Sylveon was the other major damage piece. Fairy Feather with Pixilate, Hyper Voice, Moonblast, Calm Mind, and Detect gave Luisao a spread attacker that could also build pressure over longer games. Between Incineroar, Farigiraf, and Rillaboom, the team had several ways to support Sylveon turns without relying on a single setup path.
Across the top teams, weather was a major theme. Draxolotl and POokeIkerVGC both used Pelipper with Drizzle, Sitrus Berry, Hurricane, Weather Ball, Tailwind, and Wide Guard, alongside Swampert with Swampertite and Archaludon with Leftovers, Stamina, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon, and Protect. POokeIkerVGC also paired Charizard with Charizardite Y and Venusaur with Chlorophyll, creating another weather angle on the same team.
Several support Pokemon repeated near the top. Farigiraf appeared on both Luisao’s and madelinestarling’s teams with Armor Tail, Helping Hand, Trick Room, and Psychic. Incineroar was also on both of those teams, each using Intimidate, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, and Parting Shot. Focus Sash showed up on Whimsicott, Venusaur, Excadrill, and Basculegion ♀ among the listed top teams, while Life Orb appeared on Rillaboom, Gholdengo, Basculegion, and Kommo-o.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with a clear speed plan, but make sure your support core can reposition threats through Fake Out, pivoting, and Trick Room denial or setup.
