BatCoach’s winning team leaned on layered defensive control into strong midgame positioning. Grimmsnarl with Light Clay, Prankster, Reflect, Light Screen, Spirit Break, and Parting Shot gave the team a clear plan for reducing damage while bringing in its primary threats safely. That support paired naturally with Gholdengo holding Leftovers, using Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect; behind screens, Nasty Plot pressure is difficult to ignore, and Good as Gold also gives the slot strong utility into disruption.
The physical side was built around Tyranitar and Garchomp. Tyranitar carried Tyranitarite with Sand Stream, Rock Slide, Knock Off, Dragon Dance, and Protect, giving BatCoach a bulky setup option and spread Rock Slide pressure.
