JogadorZero’s winning team was built around flexible speed control and sand pressure. Tyranitar with Tyranitarite, Sand Stream, Dragon Dance, Rock Slide, Knock Off, and Protect supplied the weather engine and a setup threat. Excadrill paired directly with that through Focus Sash and Sand Rush, giving the team fast Iron Head, Earthquake, and Rock Slide pressure once sand was active.
The rest of the composition gave JogadorZero several ways to control positioning. Staraptor carried Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, Brave Bird, Close Combat, and Protect, adding both speed control and immediate physical damage. Incineroar provided the second Intimidate user, plus Fake Out, Parting Shot, Flare Blitz, and Throat Chop with Passho Berry. Sinistcha brought Hospitality, Kasib Berry, Rage Powder, Trick Room, Matcha Gotcha, and Protect, meaning the team could redirect, reverse opposing speed plans, and heal on entry. Sylveon rounded things out with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Protect, giving the team spread damage and priority cleanup.
The top cut showed several clear patterns. Focus Sash was highly visible, appearing on JogadorZero’s Excadrill, Metaknight1320’s Kingambit, KST | KAMPFI’s Sneasler, and Smogolem’s Kingambit. Kingambit itself was a repeated pick near the top, with both Metaknight1320 and Smogolem using Focus Sash, Defiant, Adamant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Low Kick.
Trick Room support was also common. Sinistcha appeared on both the first- and third-place teams, while Farigiraf appeared on the second- and fourth-place teams. Metaknight1320’s Farigiraf used Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Twin Beam, Thunderbolt, Roar, and Trick Room; Smogolem’s used Sitrus Berry, Armor Tail, Trick Room, Twin Beam, Thunderbolt, and Helping Hand.
Weather cores were another defining feature. JogadorZero won with Sand Stream Tyranitar plus Sand Rush Excadrill. Metaknight1320 used Charizard with Charizardite Y alongside Aerodactyl with Aerodactylite and Tailwind. Smogolem used Torkoal with Charcoal, Drought, Eruption, Heat Wave, Protect, and Solar Beam next to Venusaur with Venusaurite and Chlorophyll.
Takeaway for ladder players: Regulation Set M-B teams benefited from having more than one speed mode, with Tailwind, Trick Room, weather abilities, Fake Out, and redirection all represented near the top.
