Lavender’s winning team was built around immediate speed control and strong spread or high-damage pressure. Whimsicott carried Focus Sash with Prankster, Tailwind, Sunny Day, Encore, and Moonblast, giving the team both speed control and direct support for Charizard. Charizard used Charizardite Y with Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Solar Beam, and Protect, making the sun mode a central offensive angle.
The rest of the team covered different tempo needs. Alakazam, with Expert Belt, Inner Focus, and a Timid nature, brought Psychic, Taunt, Grass Knot, and Protect, adding disruption while still threatening damage. Basculegion used Choice Scarf with Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Flip Turn, giving Lavender a fast physical attacker with both pivoting and priority. Garchomp held Life Orb with Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Protect, adding a second major physical attacker and another spread option. Sylveon rounded out the six with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Detect, giving the team a consistent Fairy-type spread attacker.
Across the top teams, Sneasler was the clearest recurring pick, appearing on the teams of Finalbelle, gunk0, and edengardenz. Finalbelle and gunk0 both used White Herb with Unburden, while edengardenz used Focus Sash with Poison Touch. Froslass also showed up on both Finalbelle and gunk0, and both used Froslassite, Cursed Body, Blizzard, Shadow Ball, Aurora Veil, and Protect.
Tailwind was another major point of emphasis. Lavender had it on Whimsicott, Finalbelle and gunk0 had it on Talonflame, and both Finalbelle and gunk0 paired that speed control with Sneasler. Basculegion appeared on both the first- and third-place teams, with both sets using Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, and Aqua Jet, though Lavender chose Choice Scarf while gunk0 used Mystic Water. Focus Sash was also common near the top, appearing on Lavender’s Whimsicott, Finalbelle’s Volcarona, gunk0’s Lycanroc Dusk, and edengardenz’s Sneasler.
Takeaway for ladder players: bring reliable speed control, but make sure it supports multiple attackers rather than a single mode.
