Pokémon Unite Shutdown Date Set for March 2027

Pokémon Unite is reportedly scheduled to go offline on March 23, 2027, according to games.gg. That gives the MOBA a long runway before its servers close, but it also puts a firm end date on one of Pokémon’s more prominent competitive spin-offs.

For PokemonHelper readers, the practical takeaway is mostly about the wider competitive ecosystem. Unite is separate from Pokémon Champions and does not share its rules, battle format, or team-building systems. Champions remains its own doubles-focused game, while Unite has always occupied a different space built around real-time team fights and objective control rather than turn-based planning.

Still, a shutdown date matters because it affects where competitive Pokémon players may spend their time over the next few years. Anyone still active in Unite now has a clear timeline for ranked play, community events, and any final pushes before service ends.

There is no indication from this report that the shutdown changes anything about Pokémon Champions.
