oatmeal’s winning team is a rain-centered composition with several layers of speed control, positioning, and damage mitigation. Pelipper carries Damp Rock with Drizzle and a support-heavy set of Weather Ball, Hurricane, Wide Guard, and Helping Hand. That pairs directly with Basculegion ♀ holding Focus Sash and using Swift Swim with Muddy Water, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, and Protect. Archaludon adds a durable special attacker with Leftovers, Stamina, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Snarl, and Protect, giving the team a strong midgame piece that can also reduce opposing special damage.
The more distinctive part of the team is how much support exists around that core. Raichu uses Raichunite X, Lightning Rod, and a Jolly set with Volt Tackle, Volt Switch, Feint, and Fake Out, giving oatmeal both disruption and pivoting. Golisopod appears with Golisopite, Emergency Exit, and Adamant Leech Life, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Protect, adding priority and physical pressure. Sneasler rounds out the six with Electric Seed, Unburden, Poison Jab, Close Combat, Swords Dance, and Protect, giving the team another fast physical win condition rather than relying only on rain offense.
Across the top cut, Sneasler was one of the most repeated picks, appearing on oatmeal, ZUKY187, Clarencekohsh, PokeReplay, and Aus29. Basculegion also showed up repeatedly on rain or offense-leaning teams, with oatmeal and NerdJosh25 using Basculegion ♀ with Focus Sash and Swift Swim, while ZUKY187 and Aus29 used Basculegion with Mystic Water and Adaptability.
Whimsicott was another major support presence, appearing on atta_yusuf, ZUKY187, and Aus29, each with Focus Sash, Prankster, Moonblast, Tailwind, and Encore. Garchomp was common near the top as well, appearing on atta_yusuf, ZUKY187, and Aus29 with Life Orb. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite appeared on atta_yusuf, NerdJosh25, and PokeReplay, while Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on both ZUKY187 and Aus29.
Item trends were clear: Focus Sash was heavily represented on Whimsicott, Basculegion ♀, Excadrill, and Sneasler, while Life Orb appeared on Garchomp, Gholdengo, Rillaboom, and Kingambit. Damp Rock Pelipper and Leftovers Archaludon also appeared together on both oatmeal and NerdJosh25, showing a repeated rain structure among the upper standings.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for fast support from Whimsicott and Sneasler while keeping specific answers to rain cores built around Pelipper, Basculegion, and Archaludon.
