Papucaru’s winning team is a clear Trick Room-oriented composition with multiple forms of disruption and pressure. Farigiraf is the centerpiece, using Armor Tail with Protect, Imprison, Expanding Force, and Trick Room. That combination gives the team both a speed-control mode and a way to contest opposing Trick Room attempts. Camerupt with Cameruptite, Solid Rock, Quiet nature, and Eruption gives the team a heavy special attacker that fits naturally under Trick Room, while Earth Power and Ancient Power add coverage.
The support structure is also important. Kangaskhan brings Scrappy Fake Out and Last Resort with Silk Scarf, giving Papucaru immediate positioning pressure. Rillaboom adds Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and High Horsepower, while Iron Ball and Brave nature reinforce the slow-mode plan. Vivillon’s Focus Sash with Compound Eyes, Sleep Powder, Hurricane, Rage Powder, and Protect gives the team redirection and sleep pressure. Primarina rounds out the offense with Life Orb, Liquid Voice, Moonblast, Hyper Voice, and Dazzling Gleam, giving the team spread damage and Fairy-type pressure.
Across the top teams, Rillaboom was the most visible repeated pick, appearing on Papucaru’s winning team, SeroSmurf’s runner-up team, and MarioCsGamer’s eighth-place team. Fake Out plus Grassy Glide remained a consistent package, though the item choices differed between Iron Ball and Miracle Seed.
Trick Room was also a major theme. Papucaru used Farigiraf, Om3gaVGC paired Indeedee ♀ with Hatterene, shaikhvgc786 had Malamar, and Gus_0Z used Indeedee ♀ with Trick Room support. Several teams combined Trick Room with strong slow attackers, including Camerupt, Hatterene, Torkoal, Araquanid, Crabominable, and Ampharos.
Focus Sash showed up repeatedly as well, including Vivillon, Sneasler, Malamar, Hisuian Samurott, and Salazzle. Life Orb was another common offensive item, appearing on Primarina, Ceruledge, Hatterene, Gholdengo, and Talonflame.
Takeaway for ladder players: Regulation Set M-C teams need reliable plans into both Fake Out pressure and Trick Room, because the top finishers leaned heavily on both.
