Talon's FIGHT CLUB #104 POKEMON CHAMPIONS REG M-C results

Talon's FIGHT CLUB #104 POKEMON CHAMPIONS REG M-C was a 97-player online event on Limitless, played under Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. TomatoSaiyan finished first at 10-2-0, defeating hooper in the final round.

Place Player Record Team
1 TomatoSaiyan [US] 10-2-0 Torkoal / Kangaskhan / Mawile / Vileplume / Farigiraf / Staraptor
2 Hooper [US] 9-3-0 Excadrill / Salamence / Tyranitar / Indeedee / Corviknight / Sneasler
3 Emprov [US] 8-3-0 Salamence / Rillaboom / Sneasler / Hisuian Arcanine / Kingambit / Sylveon
4 CrimsonSky [US] 8-3-0 Armarouge / Indeedee ♀ / Gallade / Camerupt / Vanilluxe / Kingambit

TomatoSaiyan’s winning team was built around clear mode control and heavy damage. Torkoal was the central weather piece, using Charcoal, Drought, a Quiet nature, and Eruption, with Weather Ball, Earth Power, and Protect rounding out its set. Farigiraf added Trick Room support while also carrying Armor Tail, Imprison, Expanding Force, and Protect, giving the team a way to contest opposing speed control and Psychic-style positioning.

The rest of the roster supported that slower, high-pressure game plan without being one-dimensional. Kangaskhan brought Life Orb, Scrappy, Fake Out, Double-Edge, Brick Break, and Hammer Arm, giving the team immediate disruption and strong physical damage. Mawile with Mawilite and Intimidate added another physical attacker, with Play Rough, Rock Slide, Protect, and Sucker Punch. Vileplume fit naturally beside Torkoal through Chlorophyll and Focus Sash, threatening Sleep Powder while also carrying Leaf Storm, After You, and Sludge Bomb. Staraptor completed the team with Choice Scarf, Intimidate, Final Gambit, Close Combat, Brave Bird, and U-turn, giving TomatoSaiyan a fast option outside of Trick Room.

Across the top four, several patterns stood out. Intimidate appeared repeatedly: TomatoSaiyan used both Mawile and Staraptor, while Hooper and Emprov each used Salamence with Salamencite and Intimidate. Salamence itself was the only Pokemon shared between second and third, with both sets featuring Hyper Voice and Protect.

Sneasler was another repeated pick, appearing on Hooper’s runner-up team with White Herb and Unburden, and on Emprov’s third-place team with Grassy Seed and Unburden. Kingambit also appeared on both Emprov and CrimsonSky, and both versions used Chople Berry, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Protect.

Weather was present throughout the top cut teams. TomatoSaiyan won with Torkoal and Drought, Hooper used Tyranitar with Sand Stream alongside Excadrill, and CrimsonSky brought Vanilluxe with Snow Warning. Psychic Terrain also showed up in two different structures: Hooper used Indeedee with Choice Scarf and Psychic Surge, while CrimsonSky used Indeedee ♀ with Colbur Berry, Psychic Surge, Follow Me, Helping Hand, and Trick Room next to Armarouge.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for layered speed control, because the top teams mixed Trick Room, weather, Choice Scarf, Tailwind, and priority denial rather than relying on a single mode.
