Place Player Record Team
1 AlexIannoneVGC [US] 9-0-0 Gyarados, Garchomp, Sinistcha, Heat Rotom, Sneasler, Sylveon
2 naibot2814 [PE] 7-2-0 Blastoise, Incineroar, Sneasler, Sinistcha, Kingambit, Delphox
3 Zach K [US] 6-2-0 Froslass, Scovillain, Lycanroc Dusk, Kingambit, Basculegion, Sneasler
4 Neph [ES] 6-2-0 Aerodactyl, Sylveon, Charizard, Kingambit, Farigiraf, Garchomp

AlexIannoneVGC’s team had a clear blend of pressure, positioning, and flexible speed control. Gyarados with Gyaradosite, Intimidate, Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Lash Out, and Protect gave the team a setup threat that could also contribute defensively before committing. Next to it, Garchomp held Life Orb with Rough Skin and a direct attacking set of Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Protect, giving the team strong spread and single-target damage.

The support structure was also important. Sinistcha brought Hospitality, Sitrus Berry, Matcha Gotcha, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Protect, letting AlexIannoneVGC redirect attacks, recover partners, and keep a Trick Room option available when the matchup required a slower mode. Heat Rotom with Choice Scarf and Electroweb added immediate speed control, while Volt Switch, Thunderbolt, and Overheat prevented it from being passive. Sneasler carried White Herb and Unburden with Fake Out, Close Combat, Dire Claw, and Protect, offering disruption and fast offensive pressure. Sylveon rounded out the team with Fairy Feather, Pixilate, Quick Attack, Hyper Beam, Hyper Voice, and Detect, giving Alex a reliable Fairy-type damage source with both spread pressure and priority.

Across the upper standings, several patterns stood out. Sneasler appeared on each of the top three teams, though with different item and ability choices: White Herb plus Unburden for AlexIannoneVGC and Zach K, and Focus Sash plus Poison Touch for naibot2814. Kingambit was also prominent, appearing on the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth place teams, usually with Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, and an offensive item or Focus Sash-style survivability.

Sylveon was another repeated pick, showing up on AlexIannoneVGC, Neph, masajji, and Holasoy, all with Fairy Feather and Pixilate. The combination of Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, and Detect was especially consistent. Garchomp also had a strong showing on AlexIannoneVGC, Neph, and Holasoy, commonly paired with Life Orb and Rough Skin. On the support side, Sinistcha and Farigiraf both represented Trick Room utility, while Sitrus Berry and Focus Sash were among the most visible items across the listed teams.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with layered speed control and a real defensive pivot, because the best teams here were not relying on one mode to win games.
