januo’s winning team is built around layered setup pressure with strong support options. Sneasler carried Focus Sash with Unburden and a Jolly nature, using Dire Claw, Close Combat, Fake Out, and Quick Guard. That gives the team immediate disruption while also protecting key turns against priority with Quick Guard.
The main damage engines were Blastoise, Kingambit, and Delphox. Blastoise held Blastoisinite with Rain Dish and ran Dark Pulse, Water Spout, Shell Smash, and Protect, giving the team a clear explosive setup route. Kingambit used Life Orb with Defiant, an Adamant nature, and Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, adding another setup threat that punishes stat drops. Delphox held Delphoxite with Blaze and used Heat Wave, Nasty Plot, Psyshock, and Protect, giving the team a special attacking route with spread damage and boosting potential.
The support structure was also notable. Incineroar used Sitrus Berry with Intimidate, Flare Blitz, Helping Hand, Parting Shot, and Fake Out, offering the standard mix of positioning, damage control, and damage amplification. Sinistcha rounded out the team with Occa Berry, Hospitality, Matcha Gotcha, Rage Powder, Trick Room, and Protect. Basculegion also showed up repeatedly near the top, with CalcVGC [SG] using Life Orb and Noktuska [FR] using Choice Scarf; both sets included Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Protect or Flip Turn depending on the team.
The repeated second-place core also stood out: LawrenceVGC [PH] and Joshua77 [NL] used the same six Pokemon with the same listed items, abilities, natures, and moves.
