| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Animod [IT] | 8-0-0 | Venusaur / Politoed / Grimmsnarl / Raichu / Archaludon / Charizard |
| 2 | tobs217 [DE] | 6-2-0 | Eternal Flower Floette / Incineroar / Sneasler / Delphox / Kingambit / Sinistcha |
| 3 | Oyerrr [ID] | 5-2-0 | Garchomp / Sneasler / Eternal Flower Floette / Incineroar / Rillaboom / Kingambit |
| 4 | Pushpendra [IN] | 5-2-0 | Kingambit / Sneasler / Basculegion / Charizard / Garchomp / Whimsicott |
Animod’s winning team stood out as a layered weather and positioning composition. Politoed brought Drizzle with Mystic Water and a spread-oriented set of Weather Ball, Protect, Ice Beam, and Muddy Water. Charizard, holding Charizardite Y, added Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Protect, and Hurricane, giving the team another major special attacker that could take advantage of the same move slot flexibility.
The support structure was just as important. Grimmsnarl used Light Clay with Prankster and a full screen package of Reflect, Light Screen, Parting Shot, and Spirit Break, giving Animod defensive control over longer games. Raichu carried Raichunite X with Lightning Rod and supplied Fake Out, Volt Switch, Feint, and Volt Tackle, combining disruption with pivoting and endgame utility. Venusaur added Focus Sash, Chlorophyll, Sleep Powder, Protect, Earth Power, and Sludge Bomb, offering immediate pressure and a fast disruption angle. Archaludon rounded out the six with Leftovers, Stamina, Dragon Pulse, Electro Shot, Protect, and Snarl, giving the team a sturdier special option that also contributed damage mitigation.
Across the top teams, Kingambit was one of the clearest trends. It appeared on the second-, third-, and fourth-place teams, with Black Glasses on tobs217 and Pushpendra, Life Orb on Oyerrr, and Swords Dance plus Sucker Punch present on all three sets. Sneasler was equally prominent, appearing in second through fourth as well, though with different item and ability choices: Focus Sash with Poison Touch for tobs217 and Oyerrr, and White Herb with Unburden for Pushpendra.
Eternal Flower Floette also had a strong showing, taking second and third with Floettite and Calm Mind sets. Incineroar appeared on both the second- and third-place teams with Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot, reinforcing how valuable cycling and tempo control remained. Charizard with Charizardite Y appeared on the champion’s team and Pushpendra’s fourth-place team, while Garchomp appeared on Oyerrr’s and Pushpendra’s teams with Garchompite and Life Orb respectively.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Kingambit and Sneasler cores, but do not ignore screen-supported weather teams with multiple flexible attackers.
