| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | misoup [US] | 12-2-0 | Salamence, Raichu, Sylveon, Basculegion, Kingambit, Incineroar |
| 2 | Nic3003 [IT] | 12-2-0 | Salamence, Eternal Flower Floette, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Sneasler, Basculegion |
| 3 | EmperorAry | 10-3-0 | Eternal Flower Floette, Golisopod, Pelipper, Basculegion ♀, Archaludon, Sneasler |
| 4 | Sglez124 [US] | 10-3-0 | Eternal Flower Floette, Sneasler, Indeedee, Basculegion, Dragonite, Kingambit |
misoup’s winning team was built around layered speed control, priority, and immediate pressure. Salamence carried Salamencite with Intimidate and a Hasty nature, using Hyper Voice, Double-Edge, Tailwind, and Protect. That gave the team both a spread damage mode and a straightforward Tailwind option. Raichu with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Zap Cannon, Encore, Fake Out, and Protect added another form of disruption while also giving the team Fake Out support.
The damage profile was broad. Sylveon used Fairy Feather and Pixilate with Hyper Voice, Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, and Detect, adding another Hyper Voice user and a priority option. Basculegion held Focus Sash with Adaptability, Liquidation, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Protect, giving the team a threatening late-game piece that did not need much help to pick off weakened targets. Kingambit with Chople Berry, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Low Kick, and Sucker Punch supplied another priority attacker and an Intimidate-resistant physical threat. Incineroar was notably offensive with Life Orb, Intimidate, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Darkest Lariat, and Close Combat rather than a slower pivot set.
Across the top teams, Basculegion was the clearest constant. All four highest-placing teams used a Basculegion form, with Focus Sash on misoup’s and Nic3003’s versions, Focus Sash Swift Swim Basculegion ♀ on EmperorAry’s rain team, and Choice Scarf Adaptability on Sglez124’s team. Last Respects appeared on the Adaptability sets from misoup, Nic3003, and Sglez124, while EmperorAry’s Basculegion ♀ used Muddy Water, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, and Protect.
Eternal Flower Floette was another defining pick near the top. Nic3003, EmperorAry, and Sglez124 all used Floettite with Flower Veil, with Moonblast, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect appearing on all three sets. EmperorAry and Sglez124 also had Light of Ruin, while Nic3003 used Calm Mind.
Sneasler was common as well, appearing on the second-, third-, and fourth-place teams. Nic3003 and EmperorAry both used White Herb with Unburden, while Sglez124 used Psychic Seed with Unburden alongside Indeedee and Psychic Surge. Kingambit also showed up on both misoup and Sglez124, each with Chople Berry, Defiant, Adamant, Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Iron Head, and Low Kick.
Takeaway for ladder players: Regulation Set M-C teams need clear plans into Basculegion, Eternal Flower Floette, and Unburden Sneasler while still respecting Fake Out, Tailwind, and priority endgames.
