VGC Indigo League #4 results: Tobi_Hope wins Regulation Set M-C

VGC Indigo League #4 (Prize: Eternal Floette) was an 80-player online Pokemon Champions event played on Limitless on 2026-10-23 under Regulation Set M-C. The final round decided several key placements: tobi_hope defeated misoup, batcoach defeated irisfiredragonq, and jussito defeated harrychang.

Place Player Record Team
1 Tobi_Hope [FR] 9-2-0 Raichu, Golisopod, Archaludon, Pelipper, Basculegion ♀, Sneasler
2 BatCoach [FR] 8-3-0 Garchomp, Eternal Flower Floette, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Gholdengo, Volcarona
3 Gengaar 7-3-0 Charizard, Incineroar, Annihilape, Sylveon, Farigiraf, Whimsicott
4 Wolltier [DE] 7-3-0 Gardevoir, Garchomp, Indeedee ♀, Kingambit, Paldean Tauros Aqua Breed, Armarouge

Tobi_Hope’s winning team was built around a strong rain and positioning core. Pelipper with Damp Rock, Drizzle, Weather Ball, Hurricane, Wide Guard, and Helping Hand gave the team weather control, spread protection, and damage support. That directly supported Basculegion ♀ with Focus Sash and Swift Swim, which carried Muddy Water, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, and Protect as a fast special attacker in rain.

Archaludon was another major beneficiary of the structure. With Leftovers, Stamina, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Snarl, and Protect, it gave Tobi_Hope a durable piece that could apply pressure while also lowering opposing special damage with Snarl. Raichu added Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Feint, Volt Switch, and Volt Tackle, making it a flexible support pick that could disrupt Protect lines and help manage Electric-type pressure. Golisopod with Golisopite brought Leech Life, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Protect, while Sneasler used Electric Seed and Unburden with Poison Jab, Close Combat, Swords Dance, and Protect, giving the team another way to convert positioning into immediate offensive pressure.

Across the top teams, Fake Out remained a major theme. Tobi_Hope had Raichu, BatCoach had both Incineroar and Rillaboom, Gengaar had Incineroar, IrisFireDragonQ had Raichu and Rillaboom, misoup had Raichu and Incineroar, and Jussito had Incineroar and Rillaboom. Incineroar appeared on BatCoach, Gengaar, misoup, and Jussito, with Intimidate and pivot-oriented moves like Parting Shot showing up repeatedly.

Garchomp with Garchompite Z appeared on both BatCoach’s second-place team and Wolltier’s fourth-place team, and both used Modest sets with Dragon Pulse, Earth Power, Power Gem, and Protect in some order. Rillaboom also showed up multiple times near the top with Miracle Seed or Life Orb, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and U-turn. Gholdengo with Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect appeared on both BatCoach and IrisFireDragonQ.

Focus Sash was another common item, appearing on Tobi_Hope’s Basculegion ♀, Gengaar’s Whimsicott, Wolltier’s Paldean Tauros Aqua Breed, IrisFireDragonQ’s Hisuian Arcanine, and misoup’s Basculegion. Chople Berry also appeared on Gengaar’s Incineroar, Wolltier’s Kingambit, and misoup’s Kingambit, reflecting respect for Fighting-type pressure.

Takeaway for ladder players: pair clear speed or weather plans with Fake Out, Protect, and defensive pivots so your strongest attackers actually get to play.
