KimPkm’s winning team was built around strong positioning tools and multiple speed modes. Staraptor with Staraptite, Intimidate, Tailwind, Brave Bird, Close Combat, and Protect gave the team immediate pressure while also enabling a faster mode. Indeedee ♀ supplied Psychic Surge, Follow Me, Helping Hand, and Trick Room, letting the team redirect attacks and choose whether to play quickly or slowly. Farigiraf added another Psychic attacker with Psychic Seed, Expanding Force, Hyper Voice, Nasty Plot, and Protect, pairing naturally with Psychic Terrain while also threatening to snowball.
The offensive core was not limited to terrain damage. Life Orb Basculegion with Adaptability, Wave Crash, Last Respects, Aqua Jet, and Protect gave KimPkm a direct physical attacker with priority. Kingambit used Chople Berry, Defiant, Kowtow Cleave, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, and Low Kick, covering both late-game priority and anti-Intimidate pressure. Raichu rounded out the team with Focus Sash, Lightning Rod, Fake Out, Encore, Charm, and Thunderbolt, giving the composition more disruption and a way to influence both positioning and opposing Electric-type pressure.
Across the top teams, Psychic Terrain was a major feature at the top of the standings. Both first and second place used Indeedee ♀ with Rocky Helmet, Psychic Surge, Follow Me, Psychic, Trick Room, and Helping Hand. Jhinting paired that with Gardevoir holding Gardevoirite and carrying Hyper Voice, Expanding Force, Thunderbolt, and Protect, while KimPkm used Farigiraf as the Psychic Terrain attacker.
Sneasler was one of the clearest repeated picks in the upper standings, appearing on teams from second through seventh. Its sets varied between Psychic Seed, Focus Sash, White Herb, and Grassy Seed, with Unburden and Poison Touch both represented. Incineroar was also common, appearing on the third through seventh place teams, usually with Fake Out and Parting Shot. Eternal Flower Floette with Floettite appeared on several teams as well, including Vuultur, BeefyBoi27, EonTheEevee, and Iagoovc.
Other repeated structures included Rillaboom with Miracle Seed and Grassy Surge, Kingambit with Life Orb or Chople Berry, and Garchomp with Garchompite or Garchompite Z. Focus Sash showed up on Raichu, Excadrill, Sneasler, Sinistcha, and Venusaur, while Sitrus Berry was used on Incineroar and Farigiraf.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for flexible speed control, especially teams that can switch between Tailwind, Trick Room, Psychic Terrain pressure, and Fake Out positioning.
