Intimidators Champions Challenge #50 REG M-C results recap

Intimidators Champions Challenge #50 REG M-C was played on 2026-10-12 on Limitless, with 60 players competing in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C. The final-round results listed were brunopcx over gostzin, matheuswl over brunopcx, and brendu over thalleszard, while the final standings were led by Z2R Carretta [BR] at 8-1-0.

Place Player Record Team
1 Z2R Carretta [BR] 8-1-0 Charizard, Venusaur, Archaludon, Grimmsnarl, Raichu, Politoed
2 Brunopcx [BR] 7-2-0 Gardevoir, Indeedee ♀, Sneasler, Armarouge, Kommo-o, Charizard
3 NMR | FelipeT [BR] 6-2-0 Rillaboom, Oranguru, Salamence, Tyranitar, Excadrill, Primarina
4 Brendu [BR] 5-3-0 Sneasler, Incineroar, Sinistcha, Kommo-o, Kingambit, Delphox

Z2R Carretta’s winning team stood out as a flexible weather composition rather than a single-mode Charizard team. Charizard (Charizardite Y / Blaze / Modest) brought the main spread pressure with Heat Wave and had multiple weather-based attacks in Weather Ball and Hurricane. Venusaur (Focus Sash / Chlorophyll / Modest) gave the team a fast disruption and damage option with Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, and Earth Power, while Protect kept it from being purely all-in.

The second weather angle came from Politoed (Mystic Water / Drizzle / Modest), which added Muddy Water, Ice Beam, and its own Weather Ball. That gave the team a way to change the board state and support Archaludon, whose Leftovers / Stamina set used Electro Shot, Snarl, Dragon Pulse, and Protect. Grimmsnarl (Light Clay / Prankster / Sassy) provided Reflect, Light Screen, Spirit Break, and Parting Shot, giving the weather attackers and Archaludon more turns to work. Raichu (Raichunite X / Lightning Rod / Jolly) rounded out the team with Fake Out, Feint, Volt Switch, and Volt Tackle, adding tempo support and electric redirection.

Across the top teams, Charizardite Y was one of the defining Mega choices. Z2R Carretta and Brunopcx both used Charizard with Charizardite Y, and ThallesZard also finished fifth with Charizard (Charizardite Y / Blaze / Timid). The Charizard builds differed in coverage: Z2R Carretta and ThallesZard used Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Hurricane, Protect, while Brunopcx used Heat Wave, Solar Beam, Weather Ball, Protect.

Archaludon also had a strong showing. It appeared on the winning team, ThallesZard’s fifth-place team, and Shaggy96’s eighth-place team, always with Leftovers / Stamina and Electro Shot. Rain support was another visible trend, with Politoed on the winning team and Pelipper on both ThallesZard and Shaggy96.

Several support structures repeated as well. Grimmsnarl with Light Clay, Prankster, Reflect, Light Screen, Spirit Break, and Parting Shot appeared on both Z2R Carretta and ThallesZard. Sneasler and Kommo-o both appeared in the second- and fourth-place teams, though with different items and roles. Focus Sash was common across high finishes, appearing on Venusaur, Armarouge, Excadrill, Sneasler, and Indeedee.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for layered weather cores that can pivot between Charizard pressure, rain-enabled Electro Shot, screens, and Fake Out support.
