| Place | Player | Record | Team |

| 1 | SoravTheWorld | 8-1-0 | Sneasler, Rillaboom, Raichu, Alolan Ninetales, Hisuian Arcanine, Kingambit |
| 2 | Sudhish Rao [US] | 7-2-0 | Charizard, Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur, Grimmsnarl, Garchomp |
| 3 | acemphd [US] | 6-2-0 | Golisopod, Archaludon, Farigiraf, Basculegion ♀, Pelipper, Garchomp |

SoravTheWorld’s winning team was built around layered pressure from fast attackers, priority, and disruption. Sneasler held Grassy Seed with Unburden, pairing naturally with Rillaboom’s Grassy Surge. That combination enabled Sneasler to threaten with Fake Out, Close Combat, and Dire Claw while still having Protect available. Rillaboom added its own Fake Out pressure, Grassy Glide priority, Wood Hammer, and High Horsepower, giving the team a strong physical terrain core.
The rest of the team widened the angles of attack. Raichu used Raichunite Y with Lightning Rod and carried Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Protect, and Encore, giving SoravTheWorld a fast disruptive option that could punish setup or passive turns. Alolan Ninetales brought Snow Warning with Choice Scarf, using Blizzard, Moonblast, Icy Wind, and Encore to pressure speed control while still threatening immediate damage. Hisuian Arcanine’s Focus Sash set with Rock Head, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect gave the team another direct attacker with priority. Kingambit rounded the six out with Life Orb, Defiant, Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, Swords Dance, and Protect, giving the team a strong late-game threat if opposing positioning slipped.
Across the top teams, Sneasler was one of the most important repeated picks, appearing on the winning team, bmt295’s fourth-place team, Lobyte’s sixth-place team, and pokemonpengu’s seventh-place team. The item choices split between Grassy Seed and Psychic Seed, reflecting both Rillaboom and Indeedee ♀ support structures.
Charizard was also prominent, appearing on the second-, fourth-, and eighth-place teams, each with Charizardite Y. Garchomp was common as well, with Garchompite Z on Sudhish Rao [US], acemphd [US], and pokemonpengu’s teams, while Mangaking_VGC used Choice Scarf. Archaludon appeared on three of the top five teams, always with Leftovers and Stamina. Focus Sash and Sitrus Berry were frequent defensive items across the standings, showing up on multiple different roles rather than being tied to one specific Pokemon.
Takeaway for ladder players: DMV Open #2 rewarded teams that could combine terrain-enabled speed, Fake Out pressure, and flexible endgame attackers without relying on a single win condition.
