MadMax0229’s winning team is built around layered offensive pressure with multiple forms of speed and positioning control. Azumarill with Life Orb, Huge Power, Adamant, Liquidation, Play Rough, Aqua Jet, and Protect gives the team immediate physical damage plus priority. Meowscarada adds another fast pressure point with Focus Sash, Protean, Flower Trick, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, and Protect, making it difficult for opponents to stabilize against both direct attacks and item disruption.
Dragonite stands out as the support-attacker hybrid. This version uses Dragon Fang, Multiscale, Timid, Dragon Pulse, Air Slash, Tailwind, and Protect, giving the team a dedicated Tailwind option without abandoning damage output. Pyroar with Pyroarite, Unnerve, Modest, Heat Wave, Overheat, Scorching Sands, and Protect supplies spread Fire pressure and a strong single-target option. Manectric with Manectite, Lightning Rod, Timid, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Snarl, and Protect adds Electric coverage, pivoting, and special damage control through Snarl. Orthworm rounds out the structure with Leftovers, Earth Eater, Impish, Body Press, Iron Defense, Heavy Slam, and Protect, offering a slower win condition that can punish teams unable to break through boosted defenses.
Across the upper standings, Regulation Set M-C continues to show heavy use of Mega-style item slots. The top four alone featured Pyroarite, Manectite, Beedrillite, Sceptilite, Aggronite, Raichunite X, and Gyaradosite. Focus Sash was also common among high-placing teams, appearing on Meowscarada, Infernape, and later on Toxicroak, Ninetales, and Weavile in the listed standings.
Several Pokemon appeared multiple times in the top eight. Raichu with Raichunite X showed up on faculito5, Nicolas Lerman, and FDS. Clefable appeared on faculito5, daikyh, and frankina, while Gyarados with Gyaradosite was used by both faculito5 and frankina. Other repeated picks included Dragonite, Empoleon, Scovillain, Snorlax, Arcanine, Mamoswine, and Espathra. Leftovers also remained a common stabilizing item, seen on Orthworm, Snorlax, Hisuian Goodra, and Vaporeon.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for fast offensive teams that still carry defensive endgames, especially builds combining Tailwind, Fake Out, Follow Me, and bulky setup.
