˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour results recap

˗ˋˏ❤︎ˎˊ˗ Pomelo Late Night Tour was a 24-player online event on Limitless, played in Pokemon Champions Regulation Set M-C on 2026-10-01. LawrenceVGC [PH] finished first at 8-1-0, ahead of Pomelo [CN], Enzostj221 [US], and Sortikun [AR]. Place Player Record Team
1 LawrenceVGC [PH] 8-1-0 Gholdengo, Volcarona, Garchomp, Incineroar, Rillaboom, Raichu
2 Pomelo [CN] 6-3-0 Armarouge, Indeedee ♀, Salamence, Tyranitar, Excadrill, Sneasler
3 Enzostj221 [US] 6-2-0 Gardevoir, Indeedee ♀, Hisuian Arcanine, Basculegion, Staraptor, Annihilape
4 Sortikun [AR] 5-3-0 Dragonite, Archaludon, Golisopod, Pelipper, Sneasler, Indeedee

LawrenceVGC’s winning team was built around layered speed control, redirection, and strong special pressure. Gholdengo was the clearest endgame threat, using Life Orb, Good as Gold, Modest, and a set of Protect, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, and Nasty Plot. That gives the team a direct way to punish passive turns while still keeping the option to Protect around Fake Out and opposing pressure.

Volcarona was the main glue piece. Rocky Helmet and Flame Body paired with Rage Powder gave LawrenceVGC a way to redirect physical contact, while Tailwind created a speed mode for Gholdengo, Garchomp, and Raichu. Struggle Bug also gave the composition a way to soften opposing special attackers without giving up tempo.

The rest of the team supported that plan with familiar but effective tools. Incineroar carried Sitrus Berry, Intimidate, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Darkest Lariat, and Parting Shot, while Rillaboom brought Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Wood Hammer, Grassy Glide, and U-turn. Together they gave the team double Fake Out, pivoting, priority, and field control. Garchomp stood out as a Modest Garchompite Z user with Protect, Dragon Pulse, Earth Power, and Power Gem, adding special coverage rather than the more expected physical profile. Raichu rounded out the six with Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, Protect, Fake Out, Zap Cannon, and Focus Blast.

Across the top cut of the standings, Sneasler was one of the most repeated Pokemon, appearing on Pomelo’s, Sortikun’s, Silverland’s, Kotori’s, Uncreative7452’s, and Tadhg Farrell’s teams. Its sets varied between Psychic Seed, White Herb, Focus Sash, Grassy Seed, and Normal Gem, but Close Combat and Dire Claw were common points of overlap.

Rillaboom and Incineroar were also heavily represented. Rillaboom appeared on LawrenceVGC, Silverland, Kotori, Uncreative7452, and Tadhg Farrell, almost always bringing Fake Out and Grassy Glide. Incineroar appeared on LawrenceVGC, Silverland, Kotori, and Uncreative7452, with Intimidate, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, and Parting Shot anchoring several teams.

Psychic Terrain structures also had a strong showing. Pomelo and Enzostj221 both used Indeedee ♀ with Psychic Surge and Trick Room, while Sortikun used Indeedee with Psychic Surge. Those teams paired the terrain with Expanding Force users such as Armarouge, Gardevoir, Farigiraf, or Indeedee itself. Salamence also repeated near the top, appearing on Pomelo, Uncreative7452, and Tadhg Farrell with Salamencite and Tailwind.

Takeaway for ladder players: build with a concrete speed plan, but make sure it is supported by Fake Out, redirection, or pivoting so your attackers actually get turns.
