| Place | Player | Record | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Holasoy [CL] | 7-1-0 | Salamence, Indeedee, Sneasler, Corviknight, Tyranitar, Excadrill |
| 2 | Drewbaroo [US] | 7-1-0 | Salamence, Rillaboom, Sneasler, Hisuian Arcanine, Kingambit, Basculegion |
| 3 | THATSAplusONE [US] | 5-2-0 | Garchomp, Talonflame, Farigiraf, Lucario, Clefable, Gyarados |
| 4 | NerdJosh25 [US] | 4-3-0 | Chesnaught, Tyranitar, Indeedee ♀, Hatterene, Houndstone, Corviknight |
Holasoy’s winning team combined several fast, proactive modes instead of relying on a single speed plan. Salamence with Salamencite, Intimidate, Timid, and Draco Meteor, Protect, Flamethrower, Hyper Voice gave the team a strong special attacker with immediate spread pressure. Indeedee added Psychic Surge and Choice Scarf utility, using Trick alongside Expanding Force and Mystical Fire to threaten both offense and disruption.
The defining physical core was Sneasler plus sand. Sneasler carried White Herb with Unburden and an Adamant nature, giving Holasoy access to Dire Claw, Close Combat, Coaching, and Protect. Coaching had clear value next to the team’s physical attackers, especially Tyranitar and Excadrill. Tyranitar used Tyranitarite with Sand Stream, while Excadrill brought Focus Sash and Sand Rush, forming a classic sand-speed pairing with Rock Slide pressure from both slots. Corviknight rounded out the composition with Rocky Helmet, Mirror Armor, Taunt, Roost, Brave Bird, and Tailwind, giving the team another speed-control option and a sturdier pivot.
Across the top teams, Salamence was a major story at the very top. Both Holasoy and Drewbaroo used Salamence with Salamencite, Timid, Hyper Voice, Draco Meteor, and Protect, though Drewbaroo’s version listed Aerilate and Tailwind while Holasoy used Intimidate and Flamethrower. Sneasler also appeared on both 7-1-0 teams, with Holasoy on White Herb and Drewbaroo on Grassy Seed.
Weather and terrain cores were prominent. Holasoy and NerdJosh25 both used Tyranitar with Tyranitarite and Sand Stream, paired respectively with Excadrill and Houndstone as Sand Rush attackers. Psychic Surge also showed up repeatedly through Holasoy’s Indeedee and NerdJosh25’s Indeedee ♀, while Hatterene with Life Orb, Magic Bounce, and Expanding Force appeared on NerdJosh25’s fourth-place team and Soilchemy’s fifth-place team.
The item spread among the top cut leaned toward practical role compression: Focus Sash appeared on Holasoy’s Excadrill and Drewbaroo’s Hisuian Arcanine, Sitrus Berry appeared on Drewbaroo’s Rillaboom, THATSAplusONE’s Farigiraf, and other teams outside the top four, and Life Orb powered several attackers in the standings.
Takeaway for ladder players: build with a clear speed plan, but the best teams here also had secondary modes like Tailwind, sand, Psychic Surge pressure, or Trick Room counterplay.
