Corro’s winning team combined immediate pressure, terrain support, and multiple forms of priority. Froslass held Froslassite with Cursed Body and carried Blizzard, Shadow Ball, Aurora Veil, and Protect, giving the team a fast special attacker with Aurora Veil support. Raichu used Raichunite Y, Lightning Rod, and a Timid nature with Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Encore, and Protect, adding disruption through Encore while also threatening key targets with strong coverage.

The physical core was especially direct. Rillaboom’s Miracle Seed, Grassy Surge, Fake Out, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer, and High Horsepower gave Corro terrain control and priority damage. Kingambit used Life Orb and Defiant with Kowtow Cleave, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, and Protect, creating a clear setup threat that could also pick off weakened foes. Sneasler paired Grassy Seed with Unburden and carried Close Combat, Dire Claw, Fake Out, and Protect, fitting naturally beside Rillaboom’s Grassy Surge. Hisuian Arcanine rounded out the six with Focus Sash, Rock Head, Flare Blitz, Head Smash, Extreme Speed, and Protect, adding another priority option and high-damage attacks.

Across the top teams, Rillaboom was the defining common piece. It appeared on all of the top four teams, always with Grassy Surge, and three of those four used Miracle Seed. Gholdengo was another major trend, appearing on the second-, third-, and fourth-place teams, each time with Life Orb, Good as Gold, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Sneasler also showed up on Corro’s and Robin_VGC’s teams with Grassy Seed and Unburden, while Incineroar appeared on Rafaelllllllllllllllll’s and Robin_VGC’s teams with Intimidate, Fake Out, Flare Blitz, Snarl, and Parting Shot present across both sets.

Several items repeated at the top. Life Orb was used by Corro’s Kingambit and by the Gholdengo on the next three teams. Miracle Seed Rillaboom was nearly universal in the top four, while Sitrus Berry supported Incineroar or Milotic on multiple teams. Focus Sash appeared on Corro’s Hisuian Arcanine and Rafaelllllllllllllllll’s Alolan Ninetales.

Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Rillaboom-centered teams that layer Fake Out, priority damage, and Life Orb setup threats.
