Puppypown’s winning team combined flexible speed control, repeated positioning tools, and several direct damage threats. Raichu carried Raichunite Y with Lightning Rod, Timid, and Zap Cannon, Focus Blast, Fake Out, Protect, giving the team Fake Out support alongside an Electric-immunity pivot. Staraptor added Staraptite, Intimidate, Jolly, Close Combat, Brave Bird, Tailwind, Protect, making it both a speed-control option and an immediate physical attacker.
Rillaboom was the second Fake Out user, with Sitrus Berry, Grassy Surge, Adamant, Fake Out, High Horsepower, Grassy Glide, Wood Hammer. That gave Puppypown priority pressure through Grassy Glide while also supporting the board with terrain. Gholdengo supplied special offense with Life Orb, Good as Gold, Timid, Make It Rain, Shadow Ball, Nasty Plot, Protect, creating a clear setup route when the board was stabilized.
