| 2 | Elemunzi [AU] | 8-3-0 | Charizard, Grimmsnarl, Pelipper, Archaludon, Basculegion, Venusaur |

ChefRich22’s winning team was built around strong weather flexibility. Charizard with Charizardite Y, Blaze, Modest, and Protect, Heat Wave, Weather Ball, Hurricane gave the team immediate sun pressure, while Pelipper with Sitrus Berry, Drizzle, Hurricane, Weather Ball, Tailwind, and Wide Guard supplied rain, speed control, and protection from spread attacks. That dual-weather structure made Weather Ball a central attacking tool and let the team change the board state without committing to only one mode.
Archaludon was the durable special attacker, using Leftovers, Stamina, Calm, and Protect, Electro Shot, Dragon Pulse, Flash Cannon. With Pelipper available, Electro Shot fit naturally into the rain side of the team, while Leftovers and Stamina gave it staying power. Venusaur brought the sun mode with Focus Sash, Chlorophyll, Sleep Powder, Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, and Protect, giving ChefRich22 a fast disruption option when Charizard’s weather was active. Swampert with Swampertite added physical pressure through Wave Crash, Earthquake, Ice Punch, and Protect, while Grimmsnarl with Light Clay, Prankster, Light Screen, Parting Shot, Reflect, and Spirit Break rounded out the team with screens and pivoting.
The clearest trend at the top was the Charizard, Pelipper, Archaludon, Venusaur shell. ChefRich22 and Elemunzi both used Charizard with Charizardite Y, Pelipper with Sitrus Berry and Drizzle, Archaludon with Leftovers and Stamina, and Venusaur with Chlorophyll. Their exact Venusaur items differed, with ChefRich22 on Focus Sash and Elemunzi on Venusaurite, but the overlap shows how valuable the sun-rain combination was in this event.
Archaludon also appeared on Vinnamon’s fourth-place team with Leftovers, Stamina, Protect, Electro Shot, Flash Cannon, and Dragon Pulse, again paired with Pelipper. Pelipper’s Sitrus Berry plus Drizzle combination appeared on each of the first, second, and fourth place teams. Water attackers were also common near the top: Swampert appeared on ChefRich22 and Vinnamon, Basculegion appeared on Elemunzi and MonkeyT, and Palafin anchored Vinnamon’s team.
Outside the weather cores, Kingambit and Aerodactyl showed up multiple times in the top eight, including MonkeyT’s third-place team and ABHIGOD’s seventh-place team. Grimmsnarl’s Light Clay screens appeared on both first and second place teams, reinforcing how much value top players placed on extending defensive positioning while their weather attackers took over games.
Takeaway for ladder players: prepare for Pelipper plus Archaludon and Charizardite Y weather pivots, because the best teams here proved they can pressure from multiple speeds and weather states.
