2026 Worlds Winners Crowned Across Pokémon Formats
The 2026 Pokémon World Championships have wrapped, with champions decided across the event’s major competitive divisions, including video game and trading card categories.
For PokemonHelper readers, the VGC results are the most relevant takeaway, even though Pokémon Champions is its own 2026 doubles format rather than a continuation of Scarlet and Violet VGC. Worlds results still matter because top-level play tends to reveal how elite players value positioning, speed control, defensive pivots, and endgame planning under tournament pressure.
That said, Champions players should be careful when translating lessons from Worlds directly. Pokémon Champions has a different ruleset, including Mega Evolution, no Tera, no Dynamax, no Z-Moves, and the Stat Points system replacing EVs and IVs. A team or archetype that succeeds in VGC may not map cleanly into Champions once those mechanics change the damage math and matchup structure.
The full Worlds winners list is available through Video Games Chronicle’s roundup.
