Nate_5776’s winning team paired direct offensive pressure with several layers of positioning support. Delphox held Delphoxite with Blaze and a Timid nature, using Heat Wave, Psychic, Nasty Plot, and Protect. That gave the team a clear special attacking centerpiece that could either pressure immediately with spread damage or use Nasty Plot when protected by the rest of the composition.
The physical side was similarly straightforward. Garchomp used Life Orb with Rough Skin and an Adamant nature, carrying Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Protect. Sneasler provided Fake Out pressure with White Herb, Unburden, and Adamant Dire Claw, Close Combat, Fake Out, and Protect. Kingambit added Defiant utility and priority with Black Glasses, Low Kick, Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, and Protect.
The support structure was a major part of the team’s identity. Sinistcha brought Sitrus Berry, Hospitality, Rage Powder, Matcha Gotcha, Life Dew, and Strength Sap, giving the team redirection and recovery options. Alolan Ninetales rounded out the six with Light Clay, Snow Warning, Blizzard, Freeze-Dry, Aurora Veil, and Protect. Aurora Veil alongside Rage Powder and Fake Out created multiple ways for Nate_5776 to buy turns for Delphox, Garchomp, or Kingambit.
Across the top four, Sinistcha was the defining common pick, appearing on every team. Each version used Hospitality and Matcha Gotcha, with Rage Powder also present on all four. The item choices varied, with Sitrus Berry, Kasib Berry, Colbur Berry, and Occa Berry all represented, but the role was consistently centered on board control and sustain.
Delphox was another major trend, appearing on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th place teams with Delphoxite, Blaze, Timid, Psychic, Heat Wave, Nasty Plot, and Protect. Sneasler also appeared on those same three teams, with Fake Out and Close Combat on every listed set. Kingambit showed up on the top two teams, both with Defiant, Adamant, Sucker Punch, Kowtow Cleave, and Protect. Eternal Flower Floette was used by both Pato_707 and okaime with Floettite, Flower Veil, Calm Mind, Dazzling Gleam, and Protect.
Takeaway for ladder players: Sinistcha plus fast Fake Out pressure was one of the clearest successful structures in these results.
